His Ex-Wife Is A Billionaire? novel Chapter 53

Everyone was shocked out of their wits.

Glynnis and her two friends were also taken aback.

Jason placed the necklace directly in front of Glynnis, his eyes cold as if he was conducting some business matter.

"Glynnis, is this the necklace you lost?"

Glynnis took the necklace and let out a scream, "Ah! My necklace, what happened to it? Who did this?"

Everyone's eyes were on the necklace. The luxurious necklace was actually broken into several sections.

"Our manager heard about your lost necklace and immediately had me thoroughly search the presidential suite. We found your necklace under the sofa. But when we found it, it was already like this, and we don't know the exact reason," Jason calmly replied.

"Did you see that? I told you she was lying. She forgot where she left her stuff and then blamed the hotel. She thinks she can slander the hotel staff just because she paid!"

"Oh my God, that diamond is huge! Who would wear such an exaggerated necklace? Isn't that asking for trouble?!"

Hearing the surrounding mockery, Glynnis's face instantly changed. She angrily said, "So, what if you found it? Can this prove that your staff didn't steal my necklace? She must have stolen my necklace but couldn't sell it, so she hid it under the sofa to sell it after we left!"

"I didn't! I didn't!"

The waitress couldn't argue with Glynnis, and she was so angry she could hardly breathe.

"If it was theft, the person who stole your necklace wouldn't break the intact necklace. This is not something inconvenient to carry."

Evadne said indifferently, "I think this was done on purpose, not to steal, but to resent your necklace, like she was jealous of you."

Hearing this, Glynnis was stunned.

Her two friends also looked shocked, and they were immediately rendered speechless.

"Since our hotel has found your necklace, there has been no theft by employees. If you want to continue pursuing this, I will be with you to the end."

Evadne finished. She glanced at Glynnis's friends behind her, "My secretary was cautious when he took the necklace. The police will arrive soon, and you can hand the necklace to the police for fingerprint identification. This diamond is so big, it should not be difficult to take fingerprints."

"Yeah, fingerprint identification!"

"Great idea! That's what we should do!"

The surrounding people also began to get rowdy.

The two friends' faces turned pale, and they quickly pulled Glynnis. "Enough, you are from the Abernathy family. Any more fuss and it's a disgrace. Let's go."

Glynnis also felt that making a fuss would only make her a laughing stock, so she stuffed the necklace into her bag and left with her head held high.

"Hold on." Evadne suddenly called out to her coldly.

"What do you want now?"

"Now that the necklace has been found, and you have no evidence that our staff stole it. You just humiliated our hotel staff in front of so many guests. Don't you think you should explain?"

"Explain? Ha, I'm a guest while your hotel service is so bad, and you want me to explain. Have you lost your mind?" Glynnis laughed out loud.

"How can she talk like that? Is she really the daughter of the Abernathy family?" Other guests commented discontentedly.

"We all saw how that waitress apologized to her, and she was almost on her knees begging her, what more does she want!"

"That's right! She's so harsh!"

The waitress was huddled in a corner, tears silently falling down her face.

"If there's a problem with our hotel staff's service, you can complain. But accusing our staff of theft is another matter. You should at least apologize." Evadne's eyes showed a cold determination.

"You want me to apologize to her? I came here to spend money, and you want me to apologize to a waitress? What kind of manager are you?!"

Glynnis was about to explode with anger, but then she heard the sound of someone falling.

The waitress actually fell to the ground, stiff as a board. Her eyes rolled back in her head, and she started to convulse!

Everyone, including Glynnis, was stunned. Only Evadne immediately took action, kneeling beside the waitress.

She loosened the girl's belt and the black vest she was wearing, making sure she had a clear airway.

But at this point, foam was already coming out of the girl's mouth!

"She's having a seizure, Jason! Call an ambulance!"

Evadne ordered while tilting the girl's head to prevent her from choking on her own saliva.

"I've already called an ambulance, and they're coming!"

A deep and magnetic voice surprised Evadne.

She turned her head to see Thaddeus standing behind her, impeccably dressed, his handsome figure attracting much attention.

Their eyes met. It was as if time had stopped at that moment, even the breathing seemed to have been paused.
