It was rather a sudden change, so Heather asked suspiciously, "Really?"
Taking a deep breath, Hannah stood in front of her, slightly bent. She lowered her head, which made her a bit shorter than Heather.
"At first, I thought I was confused, but in reality, I was greedy and wanted to fall in love and get married. I forgot that you gave this all to me. Without you, I would not have lived in this world long. I overthink way too much," she said as she raised her hand and slapped herself hard. "I'm sorry, Heather. I shouldn't have said those things to you, and I shouldn't have made you angry."
"It's my fault. I'll never see Ralph again, and I'll never ignore your words again. I still want to live. It's my honor to be able to help you. Can you forgive me?" With tears in her eyes, she looked at Heather pitifully.
She was terrified that Heather wouldn't forgive her, and it showed in the panic and anxiety in her eyes.
Seeing her like this, Heather was touched and believed Hannah’s words. She knew that Hannah had already thought about it thoroughly.
At first, she had an extravagant hope for life and continued to talk about marriage and love. She was being given too much freedom and was giving it too much thought.
"It's good that you figured it all out! Your life will be better!" Heather patted her shoulder gently and said, "As for Ralph, you should just forget about him. There's nothing good about that man, and it's not worth wasting time on him! I'll break the engagement as far as the marriage is concerned. You just stay home, reflect on yourself, and don't go anywhere!"
"Yes!" Hannah replied meekly, "I'm sorry, Heather, for causing you trouble."
"It's good that you know! Don't cause any more trouble for me in the future!" Heather said fiercely, and she glanced at Hannah’s swollen face with a frown. "Go and ask someone to put some medicine on your face. Don't leave it like that. If you get a scar, it’ll be troublesome in the future.”
