“I’m okay, Mom!"
Margaret focused on Ralph, anxious to know what had happened to him. However, Ralph stomped and said, "I have something urgent to ask you."
"You..." After getting yelled at, Margaret choked and sighed helplessly, "Okay, I don't care about what happened to you. What do you need?"
Ralph looked left and right, ensured no one was around and approached his mother. He said, "Mom, do you know if our family has any heirlooms?"
He was concerned about finding the secret handbook, but when he saw his mother’s sudden reaction, he felt suspicious. After all, Margaret and Hugo had been married for years, so how could she not know about the handbook?
Margaret was taken aback by his question. Seeing that he was so mysteriously swaying everyone away, she asked, "What kind of heirloom? What kind of treasure do you want?"
Ralph noticed his mother’s blank expression and thought it might have been long ago, and she could not immediately recall. Therefore, he deliberately reminded her, "It's not that I want some kind of treasure. I'm just curious. Don't we have the kind of generational heirloom in our family? For example, a secret or something?"
Margaret was puzzled. "Secrets? What secrets? Our family isn’t in the food industry. Why would there be any secret cookbooks?"
"Mom, I’m not talking about a cookbook. It’s a secret kickboxing handbook.” Ralph frantically jumped around
‘How could she not know?!’
"Didn't I tell you about Alex learning kickboxing? He is a first-class kickboxer now! Didn't Dad send him to learn it for a while? How did you forget? We only talked about it two days ago! You know, the secret kickboxing handbook! Shouldn't there be a copy at home?"
