"A woman?!" Maria was taken aback. "What woman? Has Cameron found someone new? Hold up, didn't you say your brother-in-law loves your sister so much that he vowed never to find another? It's been so many years. Why did he suddenly go searching for a new woman?"
Fabian was already very irritated and snapped, "I don't know. Maybe she's just a colleague, or maybe she's just asking him for a favor. I didn't see them together!"
It was because he didn't see him that he felt a little flustered. He had no idea what was going on.
Cameron avoided his calls and text messages. It was evident that Cameron was avoiding him. This was an ominous sign. However, didn't Cameron say that everything was going well? Did something happen?
He was puzzled. When he returned dejected, his daughter pulled such a stunt on him that he couldn't hold back his anger.
"Perhaps it's a good thing you don't meet him," Maria reassured him.
"What do you mean?" Fabian shot her an impatient look.
'What an idi*t. How can it be a good thing? If I don't win the bidding this time, I won't be able to get any big project investments.'
Fabian had been boasting about this project and how much profit it would bring to the company. Hearing this, investors wanted to cooperate with him. However, if he failed to obtain this project, he wouldn't be able to get any investments, and the company's capital chain would be broken.
The bank's debts wouldn't be repaid, and he would go bankrupt in the blink of an eye.
Fabian didn't dare to think about this. He couldn't accept such an ending.
"I have a question," Maria muttered as she slowly sat down on the chair next to him. "Is Cameron just not seeing you, or does he not want to see anyone?"
