Dominic stood up with a mysterious smile. "Come with me!"

Lily obediently followed behind him, and they walked through the backyard, bypassing a promenade, and walked to a corner at the back. The place used to be a wasteland, but Dominic had somehow renovated it and even built a hut.

When Dominic opened the door, the sounds of clucking echoed from the inside.

"Pigeons?!" Lily widened her eyes in surprise.

‘When did he get so many pigeons?!’

"They're carrier pigeons!" Dominic corrected her. "These are specially trained carrier pigeons. Don't underestimate them because of their sizes. These birds can fly very far and know exactly where to go."

Lily was speechless. Then she frowned and asked, "How far can they fly? Can they fly to Burnwken?"

"Of course!" He confidently answered, "Besides flying across the Pacific Ocean, my carrier pigeon can go almost anywhere!"

"Have you tried them?" She was a little suspicious.

"What don’t you try? Do you think I don’t get bored sitting alone the whole day? Do you honestly think I don't care or know about what's happening outside?" Dominic smacked Lily’s head with a fan. "Do you want me to rot alone here every day?"

Once again, Lily did not know what to say to this older man.

‘Well, I misjudged him! I always thought he was only up-to-date with the news because the maids would overhear them while shopping for him.’

Unexpectedly, Dominic did these things without anyone knowing. Sure enough, he was still as intelligent as he was back then. A master was a master, after all.
