If Mike had known that this man would be so annoying, he would not have bothered bringing him out. However, Mike did not want to cause trouble.
Austin finally kept quiet for a while, but he could not hold back his curiosity, especially as he watched Mike drive down the familiar yet unfamiliar streets. "Where are we going now? Are you taking me home? Do you know where I live or are we going to the police station? Why don't we stop by the police station first? Maybe I'd need a test…"
"Who said I'm saving you?" Mike's lips twitched as he glanced at Austin through the rearview mirror.
"If you're not trying to save me, where are you taking me?" Austin could not make sense of this. He wondered why Mike brought him out if he was not trying to save him.
‘Is he going to kill me somewhere else?!’
Austin suddenly became more vigilant when he thought of this possibility and stared at Mike with widened eyes. "What are you doing? Are you trying to kill me?"
Mike smiled but said nothing as he continued driving slowly with his hands on the steering wheel.
"Stop the car! I want to get out! Stop the car now!" Austin hurriedly threw his food aside and turned to open the car door, only to discover that Mike had locked it from the inside. At this moment, the smile on Mike's face seemed off-putting.
He seemed even scarier than Rhea. Austin was just beginning to trust him. No one would have expected him to be exactly like Rhea.
"You, you…" Just as Austin was about to speak, he felt his head spinning. This dizziness, he was very familiar with. "The food…"
"How can you just eat the food I gave you? You deserve to die," Mike said as he glared at Austin. The smile on Mike's face never left as he continued to drive.
"You…" Austin began scratching at his throat, trying to vomit the food out. After retching a few times, he managed to vomit some out, but he felt his strength rapidly depleting.
