"Didn't you guys tell me to apologize to her? Why can't I go?" Rhea frowned as she started to get a little irritated.
‘What is this nonsense?!’
She would have gone by herself if she had known this would happen. However, she wanted her parents to come along so that they could discuss the vaccine development project.
Thinking of what the boss had said, she was starting to become restless, and her tone hinted at annoyance. "Are we going or not?"
"Yes!"
"No!"
Two voices sounded at the same time.
What Fabian meant by agreeing to go to Cameron's house was so that Rhea could put on a show, which might allow Cameron to forgive him.
Even if Fabian did not get the vaccine development project, as long as he was still considered Cameron's brother-in-law, he would still have a chance to grow. On top of that, people would be fearful of him. Once his identity as Cameron's brother-in-law was gone, he would be a nobody.
However, Maria did not want to go. She took a few steps forward and grabbed Rhea's wrist. "Ree, I know you feel you've been wronged, and you don't want to apologize. Besides, it's not entirely your fault. She didn't stand up for herself. You don't have to go over to apologize. I'll apologize on your behalf!"
She pitied her daughter. She also wanted to take the chance to try and get closer to her.
However, Rhea glanced at Maria with downcast eyes and calmly said, "You'll apologize? It wasn't you who pushed her down the stairs."
Maria kept quiet, as she didn't know what Rhea meant.
