After saying that, Cameron patted his daughter's hand lightly, turned around, and went in together. This immediately reassured Fabian. He was delighted, thinking that Cameron was finally caving in.
Fabian hurriedly winked at his wife and daughter, signaling them to follow him.
Once they entered the living room, Anatasia took off her coat and went to wash her face before coming out again. By then, the servant had already handed her a cup of tea. She took a few sips, looking very comfortable.
"What kind of tea are you drinking? It smells like herbs," Maria asked as she sniffed the air.
"It is made from herbs. It’s formulated according to my needs, so I can't give you any," Anastasia replied, "There are other teas and coffees here."
"Oh, I see! Is it nourishing for your body? Did the miracle doctor prescribe this for you? Gosh, you really should thank him," Maria gushed.
She purposely said these things to remind Cameron and Anastasia that she was the one who invited the doctor over. That way, they would always keep her in mind.
Anastasia smiled politely but did not speak. Just as Maria wanted to continue, Cameron spoke up, "Is there anything else you want to discuss? You should tell me everything now since I'm here. I might not have time to listen in the future."
Cameron was sitting upright with not a hair out of place.
Fabian cleared his throat. "Ron, you know very well the reason for my visit. I've been wronged before and overstepped, but you understand where I'm coming from, right? The bidding was so chaotic at that time that it occupied my mind. So many people knew I was confident about this project, yet you stood me up…"
