"I know. I knew you'd understand me," the old man said with a smile after being freed to move his body. Noticing Lily’s preoccupied face, he asked, "What's wrong? How's that silly husband of yours?"
"He's not looking very good." Lily shook her head and briefly recounted the situation in the past few days, including his pulse reading, condition changes, and laboratory test results.
The most intriguing aspect of all of this was that the lab results were normal. She only knew Alexander's internal organs were unwell by reading his pulse. It seemed like medical instruments could not pick up the effects of this virus.
"How interesting!" The old man spoke thoughtfully as he listened.
However, he immediately realized how bad that sounded and glanced at her before correcting his words. "I didn't mean it that way. What I'm saying is… From your description, it seems like the virus was created to avoid all these instruments. Could it be a new disease from God?"
"It's a man-made virus, not one from God," Lily answered lightly.
After so many years, she had learned to distinguish between natural diseases and man-made ones. Moreover, it was overwhelming that things happened one after another before the storm had even settled.
"Now that's interesting! If this virus is man-made, that person is a genius!" Dominic couldn't help but praise.
"Can you stop talking nonsense? I'm asking for your opinion." Lily sighed.
‘How can this old man still joke around?’
With a calm smile, he said, "From your description, it sounds like his pulse is unstable. It's only normal during the day. Have you ever considered whether it's the surroundings that affect it? Several other things may cause heart palpitations at night. You can't just assume it's one thing or another."
