His Secret Spoiled Wife (Lily and Alexander) novel Chapter 1636

Alexander used to think he was her haven, a fireproof shield, and a harbor where she could spend her days. Only later did he realize that she was far more capable than he knew. The more he got to know her, the more he loved her.

"I just learned a little more, that's all. I'm not as good as you said," Lily murmured. She was uncomfortable with receiving praise.

"It's great!" Alexander said earnestly as he gently took her hands and looked into her eyes.

‘What a pity that we’re in this mess. Otherwise, I would have pulled Lily into my embrace and kissed her passionately.’

After being silent for a while, Alexander thought of something and asked. "How's Galen?"

"You still remember you have a son?" Lily glanced at him reproachfully as she pursed her lips into a smile. She thought he had forgotten about Galen. After all, Alexander had yet to mention him since the two met. If he did not ask this question today, she would have assumed he had forgotten about his own son.

"How can I not remember my son?" He glanced at her disapprovingly.

"Galen is with my mentor. I think he should be fine.” Lily thought about this and suddenly recalled that she had not called Dominic in a while. However, she knew Dominic would be the only one who would feel troubled.

"Should?" Alexander looked at her suspiciously. "Your mentor is…"

"I'll tell you about it later!" She smiled. "I still have work to do. Have a good rest, Patient 58!"

Alexander was speechless. ‘This woman!’

The pot of water was slowly simmering as she gently put a towel into it, soaked it, and wrung it dry. She did everything in the same order. Olivia took the towel and slowly wiped it along the man, from his neck to his shoulders and then to his waist.

The once muscular body was full of scars, with two very prominent wounds on the chest and waist. The gunshot wounds were terrifying indeed. Although scabs were already starting to form, one could only imagine how painful and threatening it was when the man got shot.

It had been days, but Olivia could not help but want to cry whenever she wiped him. Once she reached his waist, she turned around to wash the towel. She lowered her head, and tears fell into the pot, causing a little splash.

"Don't cry." He knew she was crying even if he did not see her tears. "I'm not dead."

Before he could even finish talking, Olivia quickly turned around and covered his mouth. "Don't say that word! You're not going to die! I won't let you die!" She sobbed.

‘God knows how surprised and happy I was when he showed up at her door!’

However, she trembled when he showed her the wounds on his body and what he told her. She was also shocked and in disbelief at everything. Even now, it still felt like a dream.
