"Okay, I'll leave it to you," Dr. Blanc finally said after a moment of deadlock. "However, when can you give us an accurate result?"
"Today," she said affirmatively.
From her experience and understanding of the virus, if there were no stimulation or further acceleration through the usage of certain drugs, the virus wouldn't be able to survive for long. With the mixture she made, the body's immune system would be prompted to fight back. They would know if it worked by the evening.
Dr. Blanc looked intensely at her, saw how determined she was, and didn't say anything more.
One of the staff members was still hesitant. "Dr. Blanc…"
Although she looked confident, she couldn't be the only one to bear the price if something went wrong. However, Dr. Blanc waved his hand. "Everyone dismissed. Go and check on the other patients. Try and pay extra attention, lest a similar phenomenon happen. Make sure to be prepared!"
With that, he left and went to disinfect himself before taking off his protective suit.
The doctor, Dashiell Stone, who had argued with Lily earlier, walked over to Dr. Blanc and said, "Dr. Blanc, I know you trust her, but I still have to say this! We are all experts in virology. Our team has people who studied abroad and have won many awards. What does Lily have? She doesn't even have a formal education in medicine. How can we just listen to her?”
"She studied traditional medicine," Dr. Blanc replied lightly as he wiped his hands. "Besides, what she said wasn't unreasonable."
"It sure sounds unreasonable to me!" With a sneer, Dashiell turned to Dr. Morris, who had been silent this entire time, and said, "Moe, tell me! I know you and Dr. Blanc went to find her, but... why haven't I heard of such a young and capable woman in the traditional medical field?
“After all, I have friends who are involved in traditional medicine. At first, you said you were bringing Mr. Fike in. But, this woman came instead. Yes, I may have been abroad for a long time, but don't try to dismiss me just because I don't understand traditional medicine. It takes time for people to fully understand traditional medicine. The older they are, the more experienced they’ll be.
