"So, you're saying that if you want to detoxify someone, you'd have to approach it in two directions?" He glanced at the concoction table and the steaming, traditional herbs on it as he spoke.
"Yup." She nodded and pointed in the opposite direction. "I've been developing it since I tried to detox you. Dr. Blanc had already researched the medicine to conquer the plague then. I heard from him that the medicine has been approved by the higher authorities and will soon be given to everyone who had been infected with the plague. Don't you feel like the plague is coming to an end?"
Alexander nodded. ‘That’s true.’
The plague had not been as crazy recently, especially in Hyderland. It almost felt like it had disappeared. Even Burnwken had passed its peak period. They were just dealing with its aftermath. Although there were still small-scale infections, it was much better than before.
"The most important thing now is to get rid of this!" Lily frowned with a solemn expression.
"Don't overwork yourself! Alexander called out after seeing her serious face. He was both in awe and worried for his wife.
He had always admired how she took her work so seriously. She was a different person when she was focused and dedicated herself to the career she adored, and she shone as a result.
He was also concerned about her well-being and the children in her belly. He had never asked her to stop until she fell sick a few days ago.
Alexander deeply understood her love for the things she wanted and enjoyed doing. He knew not to use the term "for your own good" to stop her from doing things and lock her up in a symbolic prison in the name of love.
However, he could not help but feel distressed.
For so long, no matter how obsessed she was with her work, research, and experiments, she had never worked as hard as she did now.
