Austin and Dominic did not have a solution to this problem or even know what it was. Austin and the others could only rely on Dominic’s analysis, stating it was the work of a virus, not a symbiote.
They also wondered about detoxification and recovery. However, it was essential to have faith, as once people stopped believing in themselves, they would eventually fail.
"Hehe…" Dominic chuckled nonchalantly. He was not too bothered about this. It did not matter to him whether he lived or died.
Dominic had devoted his whole life to learning traditional medicine, and although he was not entirely satisfied with his achievements, he still made a name for himself.
Moreover, he was delighted with the few apprentices he had taken under his wings. As for Austin…
Dominic turned to look at his grandnephew.
‘Even though this stinking brat has always angered me and did plenty of stupid things, he has finally grown into being a doctor. It doesn’t matter if I die or not. It’s just that I can’t die right now.’
"Don't worry. I won't die," Dominic said. "I haven't scolded you enough yet."
“Go ahead and scold me, Uncle Dom! I like it when you do that. You must keep scolding me for the next few decades!” Austin hastily replied.
Dominic glared at him before bursting into laughter. He could not die yet, at least for now. Austin would wallow in guilt and blame himself for Dominic’s death if the latter died now. That burden would be too heavy for Austin to bear.
