In other words, the surveillance cameras did not capture how Rhea left. There were two possibilities—someone in the house had helped her stay clear of all the cameras and everyone else, or she had become invisible.
Before the test results were out, no one dared to jump to conclusions.
Cameron and Dr. Blanc left after exchanging their views as they could not stay long.
At that moment, the DNA results of the two babies were out. Reading the report, Alexander felt like shedding tears after reading the report. Indeed, they were his children. The twins he had not met since their birth had returned to him.
He felt conflicted for a moment. After all, he still did not know if Lily was okay.
Alexander hired an old maid who had worked for him for many years to care for the children. He could not stay by their side daily and did not trust others. After having a questionable experience with the nanny caring for Galen, he did not want to hire just anyone.
When Mike and Austin went to rest, Edward came.
As the toxin inside him had slowly taken effect, he didn’t look well. Although Lily had prescribed medicine for him, she was supposed to give him a thorough treatment when possible.
Austin had tried to treat him, but the results were not significant. There was no other way for now besides treating Edward using Lily’s prescription. However, Edward did not mind it. He felt he was lucky enough to live until now.
As he had important things to do, he rarely talked about it. He hurried to Alexander and grimly said, “It’s the doctor…”
After working with Edward for a long time, Alexander quickly caught on to who he was talking about. Alexander sat up and looked at Edward thoughtfully, “Did you find him?”
“I received news from inside the embassy that…he’s dead,” Edward said through clenched teeth. He felt terrible because the doctor had volunteered to return to the embassy for their sake.
Although the two disagreed and prepared for the doctor to leave again, the latter secretly returned to the embassy and left a message saying he would be careful. Unfortunately, he would never return.
“How dare they resort to murder in Hyderland!” Alexander clenched his fists and grimaced.
“I told our guy inside not to contact us too often to avoid detection,” Edward continued, “The good news is that your wife is still safe.”
Although it was good news, the doctor’s death saddened Alexander.
