“No, your reasoning does make sense,” Alexander said hastily.
Austin was baffled.
Alexander elaborated, “You said Rhea might’ve bewitched Mike.”
Austin nodded stupidly, still not getting his point.
“That could be it. Rhea controlled Cameron using a drug last time. Although she inevitably failed, it doesn’t mean she won’t succeed this time, nor has she stopped developing such a drug.” Alexander grew somewhat excited.
Austin caught on and thought it was likely. He nodded repeatedly and grew convinced, saying, “You’re right. That must be it. A drug like that is more probable than an invisibility potion. Also, we’ve encountered something like that drug before.
“Besides, I've read about that in ancient texts. Rhea has likely controlled Mike using a drug, so he has to listen to her,” Austin grew excited, pleased with himself. He thought he was a genius for bringing it up.
“Yeah, that should be it,” Alexander added, “Mike’s only doing what Rhea says because he’s under her control. As for the invisibility potion, that’s just something to mislead us.”
“We have to tell Dr. Blanc about it!” Austin happily took out his phone.
It was an important discovery. Firstly, Alexander and Austin had solved the mystery of Rhea's disappearance. Secondly, they discovered why Mike listened to her. However, it would be tricky to help Mike come to his senses.
