‘God knows!’
The way she rolled her eyes was so adorable to Alexander that he smiled. The joy spread from his eyes to every corner of his face, delightful like the spring breeze.
"All right, let bygones be bygones. Let's not talk about that anymore." Then, he raised his hand to caress the top of her head and asked, "Who called?"
With a pout, she patted down her hair and thought to herself in confusion, 'Let bygones be bygones? He’s the one who was angry yesterday. Yet today, he seems like a completely different person.'
However, seeing that Alexander was back to his usual self, Lily could no longer be bothered. "Lisa called. She invited me to dinner today and said I would go. So, do you have any plans today? If you don't, then I'll go see her."
"Nope. You can go." He smiled.
Alexander had two other clients he had to meet. Although it did not matter, he wanted to settle any business-related things in one sitting since they were already in Westwood.
"By the way, I heard you mentioned Mr. Corden?"
Upon hearing this, Lily instantly laughed. "Did you think that it was the same Mr. Corden from yesterday? That was my first thought, too, when Lisa mentioned that name, but no, it's just a coincidence that they both have the same surname. This Mr. Corden is the father of a little boy I rescued. He wishes to thank me personally. Don't you think how coincidental this is? The few Hyderland people I've met here all have the same surname. Could it be that their entire ancestry line relocated here?"
Although Lily just made a casual guess, it piqued Alexander’s interest. 'Is the surname “Corden” just famous among Hyderland people who live in Westwood? Could it be that this is all just a coincidence and that I’m just being overly sensitive?’
