His Secret Spoiled Wife (Lily and Alexander) novel Chapter 393

“Me?" Lisa did not expect Helen to blame her. Lisa pointed at herself, as she was shocked and angry.

"You told me Lily was your friend last time. You asked me to trust her, which I did. Now you’re taking her to dinner with my man and son? What’s wrong with you" The more Helen spoke, the more it felt like the truth.

Lisa was also annoyed and repeatedly nodded, "Yes, I didn't have a good heart! I didn't have the heart to help you bring Nick out to eat with you. I didn't have the heart to think that I could help you connect with your son. I didn’t have the heart to help you both make peace. Go ahead and blame me! It’s my fault for being blind and being friends with you!”

"Lisa," Lily called softly, trying to ease the argument because it would negatively impact the child.

She noticed Nick wanted to hide under the table as he nervously clenched his fingers together while his shoulders trembled. Lily would have gone to hug and coax him if it were not for the table between them.

Lily’s call gave Lisa an idea as she took Lily's hand and said, "You're right, Helen. I’m a terrible person and will no longer care about you. Lily and Mike make a good couple, but people like you will never stand a chance!”

"How dare you?!" Helen screamed and wanted to pounce, but she heard a crisp sound. Glass shards splashed around her feet and on her too. Although she was not injured, the sudden incident shocked her.

Mike, who threw the cup, seemed okay but said with a cold expression, "I will say this for the last time: disappear from my eyes, or else..." His gaze was frigid as he glared at Helen. He continued, I’ll make you disappear forever!”

Helen shuddered involuntarily. Her shocked expression disappeared, and he looked miserable and pitiful instead. "Mike, don't do this! I admit that it’s my fault, okay? Please understand me as a parent. Just take a look at Nick."

"Nick?" Mike turned to look but realized Nick was no longer by his side.

Nick kept his eyes shut as he did not want to see or hear the arguing. Lily could not care less about what was happening around her and got up to walk toward Nick. She squatted beside him but did not say anything.

"Don't touch my son!" Helen screamed when she saw Lily’s actions.

Mike thundered, "Leave, Helen!"

Helen's scream got in her throat. After looking at Mike, she dared not be aggressive and said calmly, "Mike, please don’t be angry. I'll go now, I..."

She was afraid of Mike, and even if she was unwilling, she turned to walk away. Before actually leaving, she looked at Lily fiercely.

However, Lily was unaware of Helen’s stare. She was sitting quietly with Nick, and her whole attention was on the child. She did not reach out to hug or talk to Nick but sat quietly with him, inching closer to touch his little feet.

At that moment of contact, Nick naturally retracted his feet, but Lily quickly got close to him again. She did nothing except put her feet next to his.

"Nick," Mike bent over to pick him up, but Lily quickly raised her head and silently gestured to him.

On the opposite side, Lisa felt it was a little strange but dared not make a sound. She and Mike watched Lily’s behavior quietly. After putting her feet next to Nick’s for a while, the little guy finally reacted. He slowly opened his eyes and turned his head to look at Lily.
