After turning out the lights, Edward and the others left the area. The tranquility of the garden surrounding Lily's new office had been restored. Suddenly, another car was spotted parked in the backyard, hidden from view by a tree.

Both ladies in the car wore two very different expressions. Brittany's eyes were red, and her hands tightly gripped the steering wheel. She tried desperately to hold back her emotions, but her heaving chest made it clear that she was in distress.

Brittany had never thought she would see this scene unfold with her own eyes. She knew that woman was special to Alexander, but Brittany had no idea he would go to such lengths for that woman. He really loved her a lot.

From Brittany’s perspective, the female role in the scene earlier should have been her and not someone else. Those roses, the ring, the romantic lights and even the helicopter! Why was Alexander treating that woman so lovingly? How was Lily better than herself?!

On the other hand, Arianna who was sitting in the passenger seat was calm and collected. She had even turned on the lights in the car, pulled out her compact mirror, and started touching up her makeup while saying, "How romantic! Looks like the rumors about Alexander being stone-cold and no fun was not true at all. We shouldn’t believe rumors!”

“Can you shut up?!” Brittany turned and snapped at her.

Arianna stopped applying lipstick and glanced at Brittany, “Look at you. Is it worth it to be this angry? They're up there spending quality time with each other, and you’re out in the cold, jealous. Is this really worth it?”

“I don’t need you to lecture me!” Brittany snapped back as Arianna’s words hurt her.

“I’m not trying to lecture you. I want to help you,” Arianna sighed as she started to tidy up her cosmetics, “Why are you making this difficult for yourself? Either you let him go and move on, or you try your luck and go for it. What’s the point if you’re just sitting here and hesitating? By the time you’ve made up your mind, they’ll already have kids!”

When Brittany heard the word ‘kids,’ she was shocked, “Are you telling me that she’s pregnant?!”
