Damian smirked smugly as the production line churned out finely packaged perfumes one after the other. They would then enter the market and bring in loads of cash, yet his reward would be much more than this. It was relatively easy to make money, after all.

His father warned him that running a business was difficult and that he needed to be cautious and learn more. From how he saw it, though, the old man could not keep up with the times and was too conservative. If he dared to try, things were not that hard.

The person in charge at the factory reported to him, “Mr. Damian, this batch of perfumes will be ready in another week and could be launched then.”

Nodding his head, he said, “Good job! You’ll all share the credit at the launch.”

“Thank you, Mr. Damian.”

“Oh, yes, has Mr. Hall come around here lately?” Damian asked as the thought popped into his head.

“No, he hasn’t.” The person in charge let out a sigh. “Since the production started, Mr. Hall has not been here even once. He did call twice to give some instructions and ask about the progress, but that’s it.”

“He hasn’t shown up even once?” Raising his voice, Damian looked upset and snorted coldly. “He sure knows how to relax, doesn’t he?”

‘Oh, Nathaniel Hall, you talk a good game but only know how to laze around. Do you have an experience like the industry’s top players? More like the experience of a slacker.’

Then Damian thought, ‘Still, it’s better this way. When the time comes to take the credit, he would have no business in it, and I might be able to kick him out. What if he’s a spy sent by Arianna, pretending to be loyal to me? No matter what, I don’t trust her. When I take control of the company, I’ll have to replace the staff with my followers.’

“Perhaps he’s too busy.” Not wanting to offend anyone, the person in charge smiled. “As for you, Mr. Damian, you’ve always worked hard and come to monitor the progress often.”
