Arianna had been exceptionally quiet throughout the meeting, barely saying a word, to the point where people almost forgot she was there. Once Donovan called her out, everyone turned to look at her.
However, Damian was still calm about it as he stood there with a smug smile. Although everything was a mess now, he felt it was not his fault. Donovan's accusing attitude upset Damian. 'Who does he think he is to question me like that?'
"Mr. Elm, everything happened so suddenly. I do feel like it's premeditated." After thinking about it, Arianna continued, "I think this woman is quite suspicious as well."
"Exactly! There's something fishy about this woman! She's trying to frame the company and me on purpose!" Damian interrupted, "Maybe La Beauté Group sent her. I'll go look into her at once!"
Donovan shot him a look, and Damian immediately lost his arrogance. Although he was dissatisfied, he knew he was not the president of Tanner Corporation yet. Therefore, he was not qualified or powerful enough to contend with the old-timers.
"We must look into this. However, I think the most important thing to do right now is to have a self-inspection," Arianna said.
"Self-inspection?" For a moment, Damian did not understand what she meant.
Even Joseph was a little confused. "Ari, what do you mean?"
"We should inspect ourselves to see if there are prohibited ingredients in the perfume and if it triggers an allergic reaction before the media comes for us. If nothing is wrong, we'd be confident enough not to live in fear when they come and check on us. By then, we must follow through with their procedures and get this over with."
Hearing this, most people in the room agreed. In the face of criticism and attacks from others, one must first check themselves. It was only through confidence they could be fearless.
Donovan also nodded thoughtfully. However, Joseph did not seem to think the same. "Of course, there's nothing wrong with our perfume! How could our own people try to sabotage us? Furthermore, if we conduct a self-inspection, wouldn't that mean we are aware of the problem? What if someone uses it against us?"
