His Secret Spoiled Wife (Lily and Alexander) novel Chapter 995

Heather felt she was already showing mercy. She disliked such intimate contact with other men. She only gave him a minor punishment and a heavy warning as she remembered she still had more important things to do and could not offend Ralph.

Ralph was unguarded, and the cut Heather left on his lip made him grimace in pain. He was furious. "You’re crazy! Are you sick?!"

She only intended to teach him a small lesson, but his scolding made Heather’s face shrouded with a layer of frost as she gave him a death stare.

Ralph felt even more furious after cursing, but Heather’s cold eyes, which looked like she wanted to eat him alive, terrified him. He regretted what he had said as his heart trembled in fear.

"That really hurt!" His momentum weakened subconsciously. He flinched a little when he looked at her.

Ralph hissed in pain and raised his hand to touch his lips. He stopped before touching it as he was afraid of the pain, so he dejectedly put down his hand.

Heather only revealed her murderous aura momentarily. She felt deep disdain at his cowardly appearance instead—what a coward.

She would not want to continue her relationship with him if the Russell family had not hidden the secret kickboxing handbook too well. She turned around, poured a glass of cold water, and handed it to him, “Here.”

Ralph looked at her with fear and puzzlement. He was afraid she would splash the glass of water on his face in the next second.

"Rinse your mouth. It’ll reduce the pain," Heather said coldly. Her attitude remained cold but was much better than the deadly look in her eyes.

Ralph quickly took the glass and rushed to the bathroom. Just as he was about to pour it into his mouth, he suddenly remembered something, turned his head, and looked out. "You...didn't put any salt in, did you?"

Heather was astounded. She shrugged and did not answer his question directly. "Shouldn’t you know if I have that in my room?"

Ralph thought her words sounded reasonable since it would not make sense for salt to be in the bedroom. Even so, he still felt nervous when he was about to drink from the cup. He turned on the tap and poured out the water. Then refilled the glass and rinsed his mouth.

Heather noticed his actions as she stood outside the bathroom. She snorted with disdain as she saw him wash with his head bent down.

She heard the sound of water splashing, scoffed in contempt, and then turned around to look away. Heather walked toward the door to scan the corridor. Since the house looked ordinary outside, Heather purposely found an excuse to live in it. She had roughly looked around and thought it was no different from any ordinary mansion.

After deep contemplation, she thought the family had likely kept the book in a hidden compartment since it was a crucial artifact. Influential families like the Russells must have secret rooms, passages, and other hidden places.

Her family, for example, was on a relatively isolated island and was supposed to be safe. Even so, they had many hidden secret passages as they were not just to guard against outsiders but also against her family’s own rebellious family members.

Heather pondered and felt that she still needed Ralph if she wanted to find the secret kickboxing handbook as soon as possible.
