Leonardo stared at her, his gaze heavy.
Summer was stunned for a moment before she collected herself. She chuckled softly, "I know. I went there because I was sure they wouldn't hurt me."
Leonardo touched her face. "From now on, you should discuss everything with me first."
"Alright." He sounded so gentle that Summer nodded without thinking twice.
It was rare for Leonardo to be so magnanimous and not angry with her on such a matter. Since he was so gentle, Summer definitely knew how to behave at the moment.
Leonardo's temper was much better than before. At least, he was not as violent and irritable as he used to be. He would patiently listen to her explanation and gently express his opinions.
Leonardo asked her, "Which hospital is he in?"
Summer didn't hesitate to tell him the hospital name. Since Leonardo had listened to her and agreed with her, he should not make things difficult for Stanley again.
Suddenly, Rosie's voice came from outside, "Mom, it's time for dinner."
"Hurry up and get changed. We're going down for dinner." Summer pushed Leonardo.
Summer didn't protest when Leonardo decided to go back to work in the Emerson Group.
There were lots of problems in the company now. If things kept postponed, there would be more and more issues. In the end, Leonardo would still be the one dealing with them.
So he'd better start working now to save more troubles.
When Leonardo went to the company,
Summer went to the hospital to visit Stanley and Jenny.
Summer left right after Stanley's operation yesterday, so she did not know how Stanley was doing.
After Summer arrived at the hospital, she went to Stanley's attending doctor first.
"The operation was successful and the patient is out of danger. He has been moved to a regular ward. What are important now are postoperative care and his mental health."
Summer listened to the doctor and nodded, "I see. Thank you, doctor."
