After the servant came up to Sivan, Sivan followed the servant meekly to a guest room to change her clothes. She did not try to defend herself or explain anything. Nicole's face softened a bit.
"Jessica?" Nicole turned around and saw how pale Jessica's face was, so she couldn't help but call out to her.
Jessica curled her lips and forced a smile, "Mrs. Jones, I should go home now."
Nicole said affectionately, "Alright. Remember to come and visit me when you have time. I will cook for you."
Nicole found it awkward to ask Jessica to have breakfast with her now, after what just happened.
Jessica was so busy. Nicole didn't know when she would meet Jessica again.
"Of course." Jessica smiled and nodded.
When she turned around to leave, the smile on her face immediately faded, and she fled away.
She thought she was ready to accept the fact that Carl would spend his life with another woman. However, when she really saw a woman with him, Jessica realized she simply could not accept it.
Every time she thought that Carl and Sivan were together last night, her heart hurt so bad, as if someone was trying to gouge it out.
Her body was growing numb because her heart was broken.
"Jessica?"
Arabel was surprised when she saw Jessica. She asked, "Did you have breakfast?"
Jessica stayed at the Jones' last night, so Nicole should invite Jessica for breakfast like always. But Jessica was back so early. Arabel was not sure if her daughter had had breakfast.
"I'll go after picking up some stuff." Jessica went straight upstairs after she said that.
Arabel frowned slightly as she watched Jessica disappear at the turn of the stairs. She turned around and hurried to the dining room.
"Easton, something's wrong with our daughter.
"What's wrong?" Easton looked up at her and took another sip of milk.
"Why are you still eating your breakfast?" Arabel glared at him, "The look on Jessica's face is strange."
