"He is so capable. Why doesn't he solve this matter? Now even Yvonne is despised by the whole city. He can bear it and also say that he loves Yvonne. Is this love?" Lydia said.
Godfrey shook his head. He could not guess what Samuel wanted to do. If he had the ability to solve the problem, he would have come forward and settled it. How could he stay in the hospital at ease?
"I think we'd better leave it alone. Although you're not afraid of offending him because of Samuel’s love, you have to think about it. Our family may depend on him t o live a better life in the future. Why bother offending him?" Godfrey advised.
"What's the point of relying on him? I'm his mother; can't I teach him a lesson?" Lydia said arrogantly.
Godfrey sighed. This was Lydia's character. She could always find a reason to be superior to others. But wasn't she worried about what would happen if Samuel got tired of all this?
Taking a step back could be a vast expanse of space, but if he took another step back, it would be a bottomless chasm. Would Samuel retreat again and again?
When Samuel couldn't bear it anymore, it would be too late for regrets.
"Don't lament in front of me. I'm still alive." Lydia glared at Godfrey coldly. 1
In the face of Lydia's unreasonable strength, Godfrey had a deep sense of powerlessness. Perhaps it was because he had indulged her too much these years that she had developed such a strong personality.
"If you want to go to the hospital, go by yourself. I will never go." After saying that, Godfrey got up and went back to his room.
Lydia hesitated, but in the end, she did not dare to go. She had to admit that Godfrey's words made sense. She did not want to offend Samuel unless she had to.
