In the Lu Family villa.
When Lu Xun took Yvonne to the wine cellar, Yvonne completely collapsed. Samuel, who was covered with blood, lay on the ground. Although the blood on his ten fingers had solidified, the serious injury, which could be seen with the naked eye, made her unable to breathe. She had never experienced such a heartwrenching feeling before. It was as if someone was holding a knife and cut one wound after another in her heart.
"Samuel, how are you?" Yvonne squatted beside Samuel and cried bitterly.
Samuel looked at Yvonne and tried to smile as much a s possible. He said, "It's nothing, just a small injury."
Yvonne's eyes turned red. She knew Samuel said that because he didn't want her to worry. Even at a time like this, Samuel was still considering her feelings.
"I'm sorry, I didn't protect you well." Samuel said.
Yvonne kept shaking her head and said, "It's not your fault. I'm sorry. If I hadn't chosen to be on the island, such a thing wouldn't have happened."
"Are you stupid? How can you blame yourself? It's just that I'm not strong enough. I said I would protect you and not let you get hurt. Now it seems that I'm going t o break my promise," Samuel said.
"You've done very well. You're very powerful and the most powerful person in my heart. I don't want you to suffer so much pain for me," Yvonne said.
Lu Xun stood aside and looked at the couple who were in trouble. He sneered and said, "If you want to talk to each other, just say it. Otherwise, there will be no chance later. Samuel, do you regret offending me now? This Jiyan Island is Lu Xun's territory. Don't you think about your own ability if you want to go against me?"
Yvonne turned around, knelt down to Lu Xun, and said, "Please, let him go. As long as you are willing to let him go, I will promise you anything."
"Yvonne, what are you talking about? It has nothing to do with you," Samuel said eagerly.
Looking at Yvonne’s pitiful look, Lu Xun sighed and said, "I'm not that kind of person. If you really promise me anything, I'll think about it."
