Kenneth pretended not to know anything about it and said respectfully, “I have arranged other tasks for him. He won’t join us for the time being.” 

Darren asked tentatively, “Really? I heard you call him Kayden the other day. His name sounds familiar to me. Is he from Drieso?” 

Kenneth said, “Yes, he is from Drieso. But you can find a bunch of people who are called Kayden. It’s a common name.”

Kenneth said, “You can go back when you get the chance.”

Kenneth returned to the camp and found that Kayden and others were also there.

Cassandra was in low spirits. She kicked the little stones at her feet and said, “Nothing. Howard and the instructor each sent me a message today saying that there would be mid- term exams at the end of October.” 

She thought, ‘If I tell Howard that I haven’t read the physics textbooks, will he kill me with a knife?‘ 

Kenneth didn’t believe it. “That’s it?” He didn’t believe that the best student in this country would have anxiety about exams. 

He thought, ‘How can the others survive?’ 

Cassandra said, “What else can it be?” 

Kenneth’s tone changed. “It’s easy for you, isn’t it?” He knew it was a piece of cake for her. 

Cassandra said, “But I haven’t even opened the books. I don’t know what they have learned in the physics classes.” 

She thought, ‘I have almost forgotten what I learned in traditional medicine classes, let alone physics classes. It was all theoretical knowledge without any practical use. It’s so boring.’ 

Kenneth felt speechless. 

Kenneth said apologetically, “Don’t worry. We can go back in a few days. But the vacation that I promised is probably not going to happen.” 

He was a soldier so he couldn’t do whatever he wanted.
