It was an antidote. It'd neutralize most toxins once she had ingested it.
Moreover, Bonnie was impervious to any poison. So, it didn't matter what sort of poison or hallucinogenic drugs Billy might put in the food. None of them would work on her.
'I have to be able to identify the kind of drug he might put in my food. Given my extensive medical knowledge, it's child's play for me to identify any drug.
'Aside from that, I have to pretend to be under the effects of the drug at the right time. Otherwise, I might rouse his suspicion.'
At the thought, Bonnie checked everything she was bringing with her again. Once she was sure everything checked out, she extended her and opened the door.
Looking at Francesco, who was waiting outside, she said dryly, "Let's move."
"You got it." He conscientiously walked in front of her and led her down the hallway, introducing the dinner menu.
"Mr. Billy has gone all out for tonight's dinner. You're eating birds and seafood! I've served him for a long time, but this is the first time I've seen him prepare such a grand dinner for someone!
"It's clear that he values you a lot. You have to make sure you don't disappoint him."
Billy had taught Francesco what to say to feel Bonnie out. He monitored her expression as he spoke, eager to discover what she made of his words.
'Will Barrett swear his loyalty to Billy, or will he leave after he's earned his money? I have to feel him out. It's an important step. After all, tonight's dinner isn't just a gathering. Instead, it's a decisive moment of Barrett's fate in our organization. Will he be able to stay here? Or will he have to leave?'
Bonnie turned her head sideways and glanced at Francesco. Her lips curled before she pretended to speak gratefully,
