"I know you're an honest young man, Barrett. You don't have to say another word." Billy flashed Bonnie a smile. "Go get some rest. I'll arrange everything and send my men to you once it's done."
Bonnie knew that what she said had helped to dispel many of his suspicions about her. She pretended to be disheartened and sighed gently.
"It looks like you still don't quite trust me. I guess I'll go back and wait for your arrangements.” With that, she pretended to slump her shoulders and walk off slowly.
Billy watched as she left. To his surprise, he actually felt slightly guilty.
Falcon saw his expression and couldn't help but ask, "I think Barrett is quite an honest young man, Billy. Perhaps I should've listened to you and not put him through this series of tests."
'After all, Barrett is obviously looking forward to serving Billy with all his heart. However, all he got in return was our lack of faith. Anyone would feel disheartened.'
"You might be right, but the tests weren't exactly pointless." Billy’s eyes were sparkling with wisdom. "I could see just how loyal Barrett is to me from this incident!"
Falcon asked, "Should I arrange for him to work on the chip then?"
"We're not in a hurry." Billy looked so calm that no one could've known what he was feeling at the moment. "We can afford to wait a little longer."
Falcon was puzzled. "Didn't you just say you know how loyal Barrett is to you? Why should we wait, then? Is it because you actually haven't trusted him completely?"
