Collin said, “Rest in peace, Falcon. I’ll look after your family.”
Bonnie pursed her lips, wanting to say something. However, she ultimately turned around and left. Although she seemed unfazed, she began to tear up.
Once she left, the man standing beside Collin asked, “What should we do with Falcon?”
Collin sighed and responded solemnly, “Take him back to headquarters and give him a proper burial.”
“Understood.” The man nodded and carried Falcon away with the help of another fellow Nidhogg.
Meanwhile, Ivor watched everything and recalled what “Bonnie” told Falcon. Ivor sighed and said, “I didn’t consider Boyd to be the sentimental type.”
Considering everything Falcon had done, Ivor always thought Bonnie would beat him to a pulp after capturing him. However, Bonnie bared her soul and had a deep conversation with Falcon.
‘Boyd’s an incredible man. Not only is he capable, but his character is impeccable. It’s a shame his subordinate wasn’t loyal.’
Yasmine lifted her chin and puffed her chest, saying pridefully, “Of course, he is! My savior wouldn’t have risked his life to save me at the underground market if he wasn’t a good person. Also, I was nothing but a stranger to him then. Mr. Boyd is the best!”
Ivor’s lips twitched. “Must you praise him every day?”
“That’s not it.” A hint of embarrassment flashed across her eyes. “I’ll only praise him when he does something worth praising.”
Of course, Yasmine would praise “Bonnie” every chance she got. It would be an understatement to say Yasmine was a fangirl. She noticed Ivor’s silence and said, “Mr. Boyd is worth praising. Even you think he’s a badass, don’t you?”
Ivor was stumped. He had to admit that “Bonnie” was capable, but Yasmine did not need to praise him so much. That said, Ivor did not speak his mind.
‘Considering Yasmine’s character, she’ll only have a stronger reaction if I say anything now.’
At that moment, Ivor saw Collin approaching. The latter then said, “Mr. Boyd wants to see you. He intends to discuss the chip with you.”
Ivor raised his brows in surprise. “Your boss just experienced something traumatic. Doesn’t he need time to process it? The chip can wait.”
Collin had expected such a response. He said, “Boyd knew you’d say that and wanted me to tell you that our organization’s internal matters won’t affect our work. Since he wants to see you, you can talk to him now.”
