Chapter 247
Bonnie didn’t know how to react. “I never intended to spend Ivor’s money. I have my own money.”
“You have your own money? Where did you get the money from?” Avril was doubtful.
On the stage, Heath continued, “1.4 million once, 1.4 million twice, anyone else bidding?”
Hadwin looked at Bonnie resentfully. Bonnie now took all the limelight he had just stolen.
Trina’s family was astonished. The person supporting Bonnie let her spend 1.4 million to buy a pair of jade bracelets.
Hadwin was so angry his teeth were almost grinding to dust, and he was almost out of breath.
“1.45 million.”
Bonnie raised her paddle. “2.8 million”
The crowd gasped in shock.
Bonnie’s pocket ran deep. Compared to Bonnie, Hadwin looked like a clown.
At this moment, the embarrassed Hadwin hung his head low, ashamed. It was too embarrassing.
Trina’s family was even more shocked.
1.4 million had already made them pale, but Bonnie didn’t hesitate to bid 2.8 million.
They all wondered who was backing Bonnie.
“2.8 million, sold!” Heath declared with a final hammer strike. “The pair of ice jade bracelets belong to bidder number 98.”
After Bonnie paid, the ice jade bracelets were delivered to her.
“Here, for you, one each.” Bonnie handed one of the bracelets to Avril and the other to
Kay.
Kay didn’t hesitate to accept it. “Thank you, Ms. Bonnie.”
Avril was stunned. Her mouth hung open wide. “You–You’re giving this to me?”

Bonnie nodded. “Yes, didn’t you say you liked it? You even extended your hand to me, saying your wrist was missing such an ice jade bracelet.”
Upon hearing this, Avril’s head went blank.
Bonnie’s purpose in bidding for these jade bracelets was to give them to her.
As she thought about it, tears welled up in Avril’s eyes.
“Bonnie, you’re… you’re too kind to me. I don’t even know how to repay you.
“What nonsense are you talking about? Aren’t we friends? Friends need to repay each other.”
Bonnie felt moved to see Avril shedding tears, so she took a tissue and wiped them away.
“But this is too precious,” Avril hesitated.
“Precious? It’s just 2.8 million.” Bonnie shrugged indifferently.
