Chapter 307
Jim said coldly, “We did some digging around and found you responsible for the mugging of Ms. Bonita,
The store owner was so shocked that he stammered, “Wh–what? M–Ms. Bonita?”
Finally, he recognized the man before him, “A–Are you the Master Jim?!”
‘This man is Ms. Bonita’s bodyguard! No wonder why I thought he looked familiar. I’ve seen Jim on TV before!”
“Th–this must be a misunderstanding. I don’t even know what Ms. Bonita looks like. If that’s the case, I couldn’t have ordered my men to mug-”
Realization set in as he put two and two together. He froze as Bonnie’s face appeared in his mind..
‘If memory serves me right, the girl and guy beside that girl called her Bonnie. Come on, is this a joke?! Was that girl the famous Ms. Bonita?”
“How could you not know what she looks like? She bought a bowl made from the Primordial Kiln from you. I saw it myself,” Jim retorted.
The store owner slumped to the floor, pale as cold sweat rolled down his cheeks.
‘My life is over.”
Bonnie and the gang took a flight back to Pyralis on Sunday afternoon.
As a chatterbox, Flynn kept talking to Bonnie all flight long. Worse, even Avril chattered
nonstop, “This is unexpected, but the store owner who tried to dupe us was captured for
crossing Ms. Bonita.”
Bonnie continued to read a medical magazine and did not respond to Avril. The latter
continued, “I guess he had it coming. Still, we owe one to Ms. Bonita. If it weren’t for her,
those thugs would’ve gotten what they wanted last night.”
Flynn looked at Avril as if looking at a simpleton. He thought, “Come on, Ms. Bonita is right beside you. Otherwise, why would the army appear to arrest those thugs?”
When the plane landed in Pyralis, Bonnie saw Ivor waiting from afar. He strode toward her
and glared at Flynn, saying, “She’s my fiancee. Keep your distance.
Uh..
Flynn knew Ivor was Jealous of him, so he hastily explained, “I have nothing but admiration
and respect for Bonnie. I don’t have any funny ideas about her, Ivor. If I do, may the heavens strike me with thunder.”
“Hmm, well said.” Ivor nodded approvingly.
