Chapter 327
Ill only repeat myself once. Talking to me won’t help Hadwin. Also, I’ll call security if you keep bugging me. They’ll kick you out of the campus.
“Listen here, you bitch-”
“Security!” Bonnie shouted at the guards standing by in the security room.
“We’ll rough you up if you guys don’t leave now!”
Draco and Demetria were furious. However, they could only leave for now. Otherwise, they would humiliate themselves if the security guards chased them out.
“Just you wait, Bonnie. You’ll pay for this!” Demetria roared hysterically at Bonnie.
The latter smirked, saying, “You mean like how you’re paying for your wrongdoings now?”
Demetria quivered with intense rage as she pointed at Bonnie. A moment later, her eyes rolled back, and she passed out.
Avril walked over and gave Bonnie a big thumbs up. “You have a sharp tongue, Bonnie. You’re getting better at arguing. Color me impressed!”
Bonnie giggled. “I have those idiots to thank for that. They’re so comedically evil that I have plenty of chances to hone my arguing skills.”
‘Bonnie’s just awesome!‘ Avril thought.
When they ended their classes in the afternoon, Avril invited Bonnie for dinner at her place.
However, the latter said, “Oh, I have something to do tonight. I’ll have to take a rain check.”
“Oh, come on! What’s more important than having dinner at my place? My mom told the kitchen staff to make your favorite dishes.” Avril held Bonnie’s arm, unwilling to let her go.
“I have work.” Bonnie needed to meet with some researchers that evening to discuss the
augmentation for the latest nanomaterial. It was a big deal, and she could not afford to
miss it.
Avril looked at Bonnie up and down. The latter felt her face and asked, “What, is there something on my face?”
Avril pursed her lips and asked hesitantly, “There’s something I’ve always wanted to ask
you, but my dad and I didn’t think it was appropriate.”
“What is it?”
*I used to think you worked in Tang Fusion Studios, but I’ve spent plenty of time with you now. I’ve never seen you going to work. Also, you skip classes pretty often. Sometimes, you even miss out on a whole day of school.
“Tell me the truth. What kind of work do you do?” Avril brimmed with curiosity. Then her eyes grew wide, saying, “Oh, I know! You’re good with antique gemstones, right? So, are
you working in the Pyralis Gemstone Association?”
“Uhh…” Bonnie scratched her head.
