Chapter 395
Dominick couldn’t wait any longer and dashed out of the coffee shop.
Sydney and Gunnar swapped glances before they took off after them. “
Don’t go over there, Dominick. Sh-she’s Bonnie!”
“Hmm?” Dominick stopped, turned around, and looked at the married couple. “Do you guys know her?”
“She’s a good -for- nothing who got disowned by the Shepards.”
“So, she’s the infamous Bonnie!” Dominick was mildly surprised. Then, his eyes were filled with admiration as he glanced at the young lady.
“Everyone keeps saying she’s a good-for-nothing, but she got into
Pyralis University and won the Best Scholar Award. If my family had one such good -for-nothing , then my ancestors would’ve smiled upon us from heaven.
“Save your breath, guys. She’s immensely talented, beautiful, and a
powerful fighter. This is the chance of a lifetime! The universe must’ve
taken pity on us, Shermans, and granted us a gift in the shape of a perfect lady.”
He had made up his mind. He would dote on his daughter-in-law if she married into his family.
Realizing that Dominick walked away again, Gunnar pulled his arm again. “You've got to listen to me, Dominick. Not only was she disowned by the Shepards, but she was also Ivor's fiancé.”
“What?!” That shocked Dominick to his core. Turning around, he looked at Gunnar with widened eyes. “I-Is she the fiancé Sigmund found for Ivor?”
“That’s right.”
“Oh, so that’s how it is. That settles it, then.” Dominick patted his chest gratefully. Wasn’t their engagement supposed to last for a month? It's been way longer than that now. Moreover, it was called off. So, it'll be fine.”
“The engagement has been called off, but Ivor fell in love with her and doted on her very much.”
Now, this got Dominick rooted to the spot.
“Isn’t it true that your nephew isn’t very interested in ladies? Rumor has it that he was actually into dudes. What made him change his mind?”
“That's something we’re dying to know, too.”
Dominick was stunned for a couple of seconds before he rested his gaze on Bonnie, who had walked far away from him before he glanced at Flynn.
“Eh? A little birdie also told me that your son was kicked out of Pyralis because of her. Shouldn’t he hate her guts? But why does he walk behind her, acting like he was her henchman?”
