Chapter 422
Bonnie remarked, “You’re as bold and shameless as someone I know.”
“Oh? Who is this person? What’s your relationship with them?” Thaddeus had a hunch she was referring to someone who could steal her from him.
“You probably don’t know him,” Bonnie said dryly, “Fine, I can see how sincere you are. I’ll take you in as my apprentice, but you’ll have to-”
Before she could finish, Thaddeus held up his wine glass and proposed a toast, “Let’s drink to you, Ms. Bonnie.”
He was so pragmatic and opportunistic that he reminded Bonnie of Ivor. She downed her wine and officially took in Thaddeus as her apprentice.
He asked, “How old are you, Ms. Bonnie?”
“I’m twenty.”
“You’re only twenty?!” He was shocked.
Bonnie raised her brow and asked, “What’s wrong? Do I look older than that?”
Thaddeus hastily explained, “Th–that’s not it! You have such silky skin and an exquisite face. How does that make you look old? I was just surprised because you mastered culinary
arts at only twenty.”
Bonnie said, “Speaking of which, I’ll make a few dishes for you to taste. After all, I’m your
teacher now.”
“}
Thaddeus was thrilled. “That’s wonderful!”
Soon after, Bonnie entered the hotel’s kitchen. The chefs and the one who knew Bonnie
huddled around her to watch her cook.
“Her knife skills are spectacular. Before I knew it, she already cut the vegetables into thin
strips.”
“Forget that. Look at how thinly she sliced the carrots so evenly.”
“What a divine fragrance! I think her fillet is done. Just the smell makes my mouth water!”
Even Thaddeus, who had tasted various delicacies worldwide, could not help but gulp. Although the chefs at this hotel praised and boasted about how great her cooking was, he never knew she was this good.
