Chapter 429
Ged was stunned. “What are you trying to say here? Do you think Bonnie was trying to keep you away? Really? Why would she do something like that?”
“I guess we’ll find out tomorrow.”
Is it fine for you to be doing something like that? If Bonnie sees it, she might…”
“Well, then. I’ll just have to make sure she doesn’t see us.” Ivor had made up his mind. He was going to
drop by her place without her knowing it.
Shrugging, Ged said. “Alright. I guess I’ll go with you as well. The things I do for you.”
“Aren’t you just doing it because you’re nosy and want to see what happens?” He responded, exasperated.
“Hehehe. You know me well, old friend…”
The next day, Thaddeus drove to Bonnie’s place early in the morning.
“I didn’t count on you staying in Lenfield Resort! What’s more, you’re staying in the best villa in the neighborhood! My family also tried getting their hands on this villa when the project was first announced.
“In the end, they told us they reserved it for someone. That piqued my interest! Everyone knows that Tang
Fusion Studios developed the Lenfield Resort. For them to reserve it for someone, that person has to be
one of the company’s employees.
“That begs the question. How are you related to Tang Fusion Studios? How did you get your hands on this
villa?”
She was suffering a slight headache from his questions. “Are you here to learn culinary skills, or are you
here to bombard me with irrelevant questions? Look, you’re free to leave if you’re not going to learn about
cooking. I can go back to my sleep.”
“Don’t get upset, master. I’m just curious. That’s all. I’m going to stop asking about it now. I’ll shut my
trap.” He said as he made a gesture to zip his mouth.
She pointed at the shoe cabinet and said, “There’s some slippers there. Help yourself.”
“Oh, sure.” He opened the cabinet door and realized there were slippers for kids and a pair for
guys.
From the looks of it, somebody wore it.
It occurred to her that Ivor was a neat freak. So, she stopped and said, “Don’t wear that pair of slippers. You can take a new one down there. It’s still sealed in plastic.”
Judging by her look and words, he mulled it over for a couple of seconds before he asked quietly, “Is the slipper’s owner a neat freak?”
“You’re kind of smart.”
“Why, of course! I might look like an ordinary guy, but I used to get second place in every single subject

back when I was a student!”
That piqued her interest. “Well, then. Who took the first place?”
“Uh…” He parted his lips. “You don’t know him.”
She raised her delicate brows, but she didn’t press anymore.
“I’m curious. Who’s the guy who wore the slipper? Is he trying to hit on you?” He asked.
