“I’m afraid you’ve overestimated me, Ivor. I know almost nothing about medicine. I simply wrapped your finger in a gauze. Anyone can do first-aid.”
“Although you say that, you did it so proficiently that I can hardly consider you an amateur.”
“You’re too kind, Ivor.” Bonnie handled the situation so calmly that he could not keep digging into her secrets even if he wanted to.
“I’ll see you tomorrow,” Bonnie said, plainly sending him away.
“Good night.” Ivor left. When he left, he saw Floyd looking at him with bitter concern. The former asked, “Why are you looking at me like that?”
Floyd wanted to speak but bit his tongue. However, he looked aggrieved.
Meanwhile, Ivor wondered why his assistant looked like that. “Floyd, give it to me straight.”
“Um, Mr. Ivor…” Floyd glanced at the shut door and said, “Ms. Bonita is nothing short of incredible. If she’s seeking a boyfriend or husband, people would be lining up at her doorstep to the North Pole.
“B-But you’re already committed to Ms. Bonnie. Granted, she might not be as talented as Ms. Bonita, but she’s among the most outstanding people alive. Not only are her chess skills perfect, but her medical skills are also top-notch.
“Also, Ms. Bonnie partakes in street racing events. Don’t forget about her floral arrangement skills, not to mention she’s Master Arturo’s favorite student. She has fantastic fighting skills, too. She knows and excels at so many things that I can’t name them all.
“Most importantly, Ms. Bonnie is modest and has never flaunted her skills. You don’t meet people like her every day. Please don’t fall in love with Ms. Bonita and leave Ms. Bonnie.”
“Is that what you were concerned about?” Ivor could not decide if he should laugh or cry. He added, “That was such a good speech that you earned yourself a ten-day paid leave. You can take a break when the conference is over.”
“Huh?” Floyd was confused, wondering why his boss would suddenly give him a paid vacation.
