Isaac muttered. His voice was so low that only he himself could hear it.
He was afraid that if he shouted loudly, he would scare the woman in front of him. Perhaps... he was also afraid that he would wake up from his dream.
He wanted to take a quick step forward and see the woman's face, but he was afraid that he would be disappointed again.
He just stood there and looked at the familiar figure in front of him. His heart was full of excitement and tension, as well as a little bit of fear.
Yeah, he was afraid.
He was afraid that he had made a mistake again...
It wasn't until the woman had walked away that Isaac suddenly came to sense. He felt a chill run down his spine. Then he lifted his leg and walked forward.
Only he knew how nervous and excited he was in the few minutes.
He decided to go forward and have a look no matter what. What if... she was really Adele?
By the time he reached the corner, the woman was nowhere to be seen. He looked around, but he couldn't find her.
He went downstairs and looked for her again, but he was getting more and more upset.
He didn't find her!
The wind had strengthened. Standing in the empty ground, he felt cold all over, and even his heart was dejected and sad.
Last night, he needed to deal with his work, so he only slept for an hour. He thought that he must be too tired so he made such a mistake.
After a long while, he moved his lips lightly and smiled, laughing at himself for being stupid.
Three years had passed. He had accept the fact that Adele had died. How could she be alive?
He turned around and was ready to go to the hospital again. Suddenly, he caught a glimpse of something from the corner of his eye. His whole body froze and he held his breath.
Beside the pavilion which the hospital provided for everyone to rest, the woman he saw just now appeared again. She faced him. The sky was dark and the lights were not very bright. Moreover, the trees and pavilion blocked his view, and she was not very close to him, so he couldn't see her very clearly.
Even so, he was sure that it was Adele.
He pinched his palm with great force. Just as he was about to rush forward, he saw her smiling at him. Then, she shook her head slightly.
He opened his eyes, but a gust of wind blew over and he got a piece of grit in his eye before he could figure out what she meant. He narrowed his eyes. When he opened them again, the woman next to the pavilion disappeared again...
"Alaina, I think I'm really unlucky." On the way back, Avon and Alaina sat side by side in the back seat of the taxi. Avon stared at his knees, and his heart was filled with unspeakable frustration.
Alaina patted him on the shoulder, "It's okay. We can think of another way."
Although she said so, she knew that there was nothing they could do.
The He family did not have much power or influence, nor did she have any strength. She did not know any powerful and wealthy big shots. How could she think of a way?
Avon forced a smile, "Alaina, we can't." He sighed, "You know what he means. I..." He paused, "I don't think I can continue to study."
As soon as he said this, he closed his eyes. It was not easy for him to be admitted to a good university and have a bright future, but he was about to lose all this. This kind of despair almost made him suffocate.
