"Mr. Bai, you're back?"
"Mm." Issac looked at Leola who rushed to the door to take out slippers for him. He was not used to the fact that there was suddenly a stranger at home, and he was not used to others doing such a thing for him.
He always lived alone, so he felt somewhat uneasy.
Just as he wanted to say that she didn't need to do these things, he looked around the house and bit back his words. Then he asked Leola, "Adele... Where is Miss Alaina? Hasn't she come back yet?"
"Oh, Miss Alaina is in her room."
Isaac heaved a sigh of relief when he heard this.
His facial expression eased a lot, "When did she... come back?"
"She came back at around three o'clock in the afternoon."
"Okay." Isaac nodded and asked, "Is she in the room all the time?"
"Yes, Miss Alaina..." Leola quickly took a look at Isaac, "When she came back, she seemed to be in a bad mood. I talked to her and she said that she was a little tired and wanted to rest. I cooked soup and asked her if she wanted to drink it, but she refused me."
"Hasn't she come out of the bedroom yet?"
Leola shook her head, "No. I knocked on the door twice, but Miss Alaina didn't open the door. I don't know if she is asleep."
Isaac frowned as he looked at the tightly closed bedroom door in front of him, pursing his thin lips tightly.
Leola smiled awkwardly, "Mr. Bai, dinner is ready. I have been waiting for you to have dinner. Do you want to eat now?"
"Mm, thank you."
"This is what I should do, but Miss Alaina..."
"Serve the meal first. I'll call her."
Isaac clenched his fists as he stood outside the bedroom. Then, he raised his hand and knocked on the door. Just like what Leola had told him, Alaina didn't open the door though he had knocked on the door for a long while.
After knocking on the door again, he was a little anxious, and he was afraid that she would hurt herself in the room, so he reached out to turn the door handle. The door was locked from inside!
His heart skipped a beat, and he panicked.
He didn't dare to stand still, turned around and went to the study.
He pulled open the drawer and rummaged. After finding the spare key, he rushed to the bedroom.
It was not far away, and he did not do anything strenuous, but he
was sweating buckets. His hand, which was holding the key, kept trembling.
Adele... please be safe and sound!
He was so scared, really!
He knew that she was unwilling to come here. He forced her and threatened her with her sore point. He knew that his Adele was kind, and it was impossible for her to give up Avon.
He thought that as long as he kept her by his side, it would be okay, though she was unwilling. He knew that she didn't lose her memory and he knew her character so well. Therefore, he was confident that she wouldn't do anything else except for hating him.
However, he didn't mind. All he cared about was her. As long as she could stay with him. Anyway, since she was back, they had a lot of time to clarify the misunderstandings and he could let her fall in love with him again.
