Elizabeth Liang got up early the next day.
Since Kuture was going to hold a fashion conference recently, the whole studio was busy. Even she, who worked part-time, was no exception. She had worked overtime.
She didn't think it was a big deal. As a rookie in the workplace, she could learn more. However, this also meant that she didn't have much time at home.
There was no housekeeper in the house of South Lake, so she needed to clean up herself. James Lu was a slight mysophobia, so she had to get up earlier than before, and finish the family's cleaning before she went to work.
When she passed James's room, the door was open and there was no one in. She went downstairs again and didn't know that he had gone to work until she noticed that his car didn't park in the garage.
Looking at the time, she frowned slightly. He used to go out after eight o'clock, but now it was only halfpast seven... How did he leave so early today?
She thought he was just busy with his work recently, so she felt relieved.
She baked two pieces of bread and warmed a glass of milk for herself. She finished eating in a hurry and began to pack up.
She didn't have to work too hard since she had a vacuum- cleaner at home. She roughly wiped the dust off the furniture and the staircase handrails and then collected the dry clothes.
In fact, James's clothes had been sent to the dry cleaner. After she came here, she took over the job of washing clothes for him.
She put her clothes back in her wardrobe and went to his room with James's clothes.
His clothes were almost all handmade the majority of which needed to be washed by hand and to be hung up so as not to wrinkle.
She pulled out the wardrobe for the shirt. Just as she was going to get the hanger, she suddenly stopped and turned her hand to search in the clothes hanging inside. When she really confirmed it, she opened her eyes wide in disbelief.
What she saw was nothing else but the shirt she bought for him a few days ago.
Because he wore it yesterday, it was slightly wrinkled. But even so, it was still hung in the middle of the wardrobe by James.
She was stunned for a long time before she slightly lifted the corner of her mouth. She was happy in her heart, but she still could not believe it.
Yesterday, when she said that she wanted to make peace with him, he agreed. But she thought that he probably agreed to make peace with her because they lived under the same roof and it would be awkward if he still held grudge against her. She thought that shirt made him look like a fool. He probably wouldn't wear it again, and maybe he would even throw it away since he's so upset.
Did it turn out? He hung it in the middle of the wardrobe. She's in ecstasy.
She smiled and looked at it for a long time. After hanging up her clothes, she went to put down his necktie.
James put his necktie and watch on a nearly two-meter-long drawer. Elizabeth pulled the drawer open and as soon as she put his necktie down, her eyes were firmly caught by a small object at the top of the drawer.
Her heart skipped a beat and she couldn't believe it. She took it over and looked at it. It was the price tag of the shirt she bought for him. The rope was still on it.
She felt baffled, and she couldn't find an answer.
James wore the clothes she bought for him and he didn't throw it casually like the previous dirty clothes. He even kept the price tag in the drawer...
Why did he do this?
