"I'm asking you a question!" He sat up all of a sudden. "Answer me!"
"I... I..."
James Lu has a short temper. How can he stand her stalling all the time?
He took her by the shoulder and turned her toward him. "What? I asked..." As soon as he saw her pale, sweaty face, he hold back the rest of the words.
He was anxious. "What's the matter?" Then, as if remembering something, he asked, "Where did Josephine hit you just now?"
"It's not that." Elizabeth shook her head. "I... I just feel a little pain in my stomach."
He was relieved a bit first, but soon became agitated by the following words. He instantly pursed his lips.
After a few seconds, he softened his voice. "When did it start?"
"Ah?" She did not understand what he was asking. "Don't you have a stomachache? When did it hurt?" "Just now... after dinner..."
He sorted out the situation of tonight and then grumbled, "So, was it painful when you quarreled with Josephine?"
"Yes." "Hiss—11 He inhaled deeply. He made vain attempt to hold back his anger and he shouted, "Are you a moron? Do you know how long you have been in the bathroom? Why did you waste so much time with her?"
He irritably stroked his hair. "Are you out of your mind? If you have a stomachache, why didn't you tell me earlier? How can you be with me for such a long time? Don't you know to go back first? You deserve to die in pain!"
He shouted these words out, but the annoyance in his heart was not relieved. He wanted to curse more, but at a glimpse of her wet forehead and pale face, and her lips clenched against the pain -- so pitiable that he could not utter another word.
"Does it hurt?" He thought for a while and asked.
"It's okay, it doesn't hurt so much." It should be bearable, otherwise, she might have fainted a long time ago, right?
"Can you hold on for a while?"
"Well..."
James cursed agitatedly and stood up. "You sit here first, I'll take a taxi!" After that, he went straight to the side of the road without giving her a chance to speak.
The road was quiet. There were not many pedestrians passing by, nor cars. When he finally saw the taxi, it's loaded with people already.
After waiting for about five minutes, James turned around, kicked the trunk next to him hard, and walked toward her again. He said gloomily, "We can't get a car. Can you wait here for a while? I'll drive my car back." It should take about three minutes if he ran back to the restaurant.
Elizabeth was in pain, but she was not muddleheaded yet. "You... You just had a drink. Can you drive?"
"Now it's not the time to care about this?" He glared at her. "Stay here and don't move!" After that, he ran toward the restaurant.
James Lu was born to be God's beloved, giving him not only a good family background but also a perfect appearance. He's more glorious even when he's running.
Elizabeth sat watching his back as he ran, and she can't contain her lips curling up.
"This guy won't put in a good word even if he's worried about you!"
