The amusement park was dark with no lights at all.
Standing outside the entrance of the amusement park, Elizabeth looked at the dark park. She couldn't help but turn to James and said, "It seems to not finish its repair yet. Let's go back."
It should be opened until nine o'clock in the evening. Now, the lights were not turned on. It should be that the repair was not finished yet.
"Shh—" James made a silent gesture to her, "Don't worry."
"But..."
Before she could finish, James loosened his hand. He held her shoulders and took her to his front. Then he let her face the amusement park, "Look at it, I'll do a magic show for you, okay?"
Almost as soon as he finished speaking, the lights in front of the gate of the amusement park were all lit up in an instant. For a moment, the original dark place was as bright as day.
Elizabeth froze there all of a sudden.
Because he just said that he would perform a magic show for her, and what she saw now, she was surprised and moved. She turned to look at him, "James..."
"Don't look at me. Look over there!"
He blinked at her with a smile and then pointed to the left side of where they were standing. Looking in the direction he pointed out, she saw a sentence reflected by the projection lamp on the open field—Elizabeth, welcome to your childhood.
Elizabeth looked at the the sentence with blue light and could not help but feel sore in her nose.
Welcome to your childhood.
She thought she understood what he meant. He wanted to take her to play the merry-go-round which was her favorite in her childhood. He wanted to accompany her to relive her memories and then take her to say goodbye to the past.
She wanted to cry a bit, but she felt warm inside. It was all because he had prepared it all specifically for her.
At this moment, she thought that she was ready to stop being afraid and nervous.
James took her hand again and led her to the amusement park step by step.
At first, only the lights at the entrance to the amusement park were on. So it was still dark inside.
As soon as they walked to the gate, the streetlights inside the gate suddenly lit up. Not just street lights, the trees on both sides were filled with small colored lights that emitted silver light. Those lights are very beautiful with their flashes.
Every time they came to a fork in the road, the next road's lights would light up together like earlier. It was just like the beautiful scene in fairy tales.
The two of them tacitly didn't talk. They just held each other's hands tightly and walked slowly on the path under the well-arranged lights.
James should have rarely come to such a place. He took her to walk for a long time before they finally came to the merry- go- round. The carousel didn't start, and even its lights didn't come on. The streetlights were all on, but only the merry-go-round wasn't illuminated. It looked a little lonely.
At this time, a young man suddenly appeared from nowhere and politely nodded to James. Then he looked at Elizabeth and said, "Nice to meet you, Young Madam."
Elizabeth looked at the man in a daze. She didn't know what he was doing here.
"Hello." James nodded politely, "Well done." Then he reached out his hand to that man.
"Mr. Lu, it's my pleasure." After the man finished speaking, he handed the DSLR camera he was holding to James respectfully.
