I Only Want You novel Chapter 204

It had been a long time since she went shopping with Evelyn. This kind of long- lost feeling really made her excited and happy.

Today, she was promoted and became an official designer. The first one she wanted to share the news was still James. But considering what had happened in the morning, she didn't want to go back so early.

Just then, Evelyn called her and asked her to have dinner together. So she sent a message to James, saying that she would not go back for dinner. Then, she went to an appointment happily.

The two of them chatted as they walked. They bought lots of snacks along the way.

When Elizabeth, who felt that she could no longer eat anything, saw Evelyn rushed to buy another hot dog, she couldn't help but pull her back speechlessly.

"Enough! You'll become a little pig if you keep eating."

Evelyn shrugged carelessly, "It's nothing. I would rather become a pig!"

Upon hearing this, Elizabeth teased her, "Hey, Evelyn! Did I hear that right? I can't believe you don't care about your image!"

Evelyn was petite and cute. She paid special attention to her figure. She always said that she was not beautiful enough, so she needed to make more effort in her figure.

After paying, Evelyn took a big bite and said gloomily, "It's all because of my mother. She said that I'm already 21 years old, and it's time to find a boyfriend." Because she was chewing something in her mouth, her voice was a little unclear, "I don't know where she found so many men and ask me to go on a blind date every day. I'm going crazy!"

Elizabeth hardly contacted her recently, so she didn't know about these things. After hearing this, she couldn't help but be surprised, "Really?"

"Why would I lie to you?" Evelyn pulled her to find a seat and sat down, "I have to go to work part-time every day, and I have to go on those blind dates as my mother asked."

"Do you think I'm that bad? I'm in my best years of youth. Did I do something bad in my last life? Why do I keep going on blind dates? Tell me!"

"Well..." Elizabeth didn't know what to say.

Evelyn's grievances must have been deep, and now she couldn't stop talking, "In the past, she used to say that I was young and insisted that I not be allowed to have a boyfriend at school. What about now? I'm just in my early twenties. She started to say that my grades are not good, and maybe I can't find a good job in the future. Besides, I haven't been with them for a long time, so I have to find a reliable person to take care of me."

"How many good men are there in the world now? When they see how beautiful I am, won't they want to cheat on my body?"

"Maybe there really are some good men?" James was one of them, right?

Evelyn laughed directly, "Who? All of them are evil guys!"

Elizabeth didn't say anything.

Evelyn was also not in the mood to eat. "It's just that I can't disobey their arrangement. I'm so angry! So... Instead of going to have blind dates with those perverted men, I'd rather eat more and become fat and ugly. In that case, no one would like me."

Elizabeth didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Was she giving up her good figure just because she didn't want to have a blind date?

"Forget it! Let's talk some other things." Evelyn waved her hand and said, "How about you? What's going on recently? I feel that your husband seems to be very nice to you, doesn't he?"

"Yes..." Elizabeth nodded.

"Hey! Why aren't you happy when he was nice to you?" Evelyn looked at her with disdain, "Don't be so ungrateful. If I were you, I would even laugh in my dream, okay?"

"I'm not that ungrateful. I just..."

"Just what? Tell me! I'll give you some ideas!"

James didn't intend to go out to eat today. But when he received her message that she wouldn't go home, he went to a banquet that he wanted to refuse. "Mr. Lu, welcome back." Amy brought him a pair of slippers.

"Thanks." James asked while changing his shoes, "Where's Mrs. Lu? Is she back?" He didn't dare to contact her except for replying to her message.

"Not yet."
