I Only Want You novel Chapter 221

Elizabeth sat on the train to B City and looked at the scene outside the window silently with tears in her eyes. She knew the train was already moving fast. But she still thought it was so slow that she was extremely anxious. She wished she could turn into a bird with magic and fly to James in an instant.

After getting the call from Samuel at the airport, she only felt that the whole world was spinning. The panic and tension made her heart tighten.

After hanging up the phone, she rushed to the ticket office and wanted to book the fastest flight to B City. But the earliest flight was at six the next morning.

She could not wait for such a long time.

She had come to pick up James, so how could she take the ID card with her? So she rushed out and stopped a taxi back to South Lake. She took her ID card and went to the train station. There was a train to B City, which would only take three hours.

She kept sitting straight on the seat and watching outside the window. It seemed that she was calm, but her heart was full of panic and distress. She kept thinking back to what Samuel had just said on the phone.

"President... He can't answer the phone now..."

"President had gone with us to negotiate with the occupants of the land we wanted to purchase. We offered them a very high compensation price. But the two families still refused to agree."

"The two families had been shouting insults at us and shoving our employees. They pushed one of our female employees into the road. A car just happened to come quickly. So President rushed over and pulled her back. But he..."

"He's not good. No. I should say he's terrible. He's been diagnosed with a concussion. It's been three hours and he still hasn't woken up... The doctor said he might sleep for a long time... Or he might never..."

Every time she thought of these words, she couldn't help crying. In fact, she hadn't stopped crying since she got the call.

She knew in her heart he did the right thing. But even so, she couldn't help but complain about him in her heart. She really didn't want him to be such a hero.

Some might think she's selfish, but she couldn't help herself. When she thought about the second possibility Samuel had mentioned, she was so sad and scared that she could hardly breathe.

He's her husband. It hadn't been long since they'd confessed their love for each other. How could he leave her behind for doing a good deed?

If she hadn't met him, she might have thought he was a hero today. But now, they were deeply attached and very close. She simply couldn't accept that there was no him in her life.

She had thought that even if he could not wake up forever, she would accompany him for the rest of her life. She believed that one day he would wake up. But if...

No! She didn't want that worst result! She didn't want it at all!

Three hours passed. It was 9 pm and she was finally standing under the sky of B City where he was.

She had previously asked Samuel for the address of the hospital where James was and his ward number. So she trotted away from the train station and took a taxi to that hospital.

After asking several people in succession, she finally found the floor where James's ward was.

At this time, the corridor seemed to be a little quiet.

She arrived at the door of the ward. Before she could enter the ward, she saw a few doctors and two nurses standing in front of the bed with their back to the door. So, she could only see a little quilt on the bed.

She was about to enter when she heard one of the doctors ask, "Is his family still not here?"

"Not yet."

"Although I've tried my best, his injury is so serious... What a pity!"

"I don't know if he can hold on until his family come."
