I Only Want You novel Chapter 337

After having lunch in Lu Mansion and chatting with John and Lydia for a while, James went upstairs to take a nap.

Looking at his back, John frowned slightly, but didn't say anything.

Lydia, however was different. Looking at James's thin back, she said with distress, "Alas, he doesn't tell us anything, but he must be very sad in heart."

Elizabeth pursed her lips and felt a little somber in her heart, but she didn't say a word. Even she was so sad, and James must be much sadder than her. Sometimes, men didn't show all their emotions.

"Elizabeth."

"Hmm?" When Elizabeth heard Lydia calling her, she immediately came to her senses, "What's wrong, mom?"

"How are you? Are you in a better mood?"

Elizabeth smiled and said, "Yeah, I feel much better. Thanks for your concern, mom."

"You don't have to be so polite!" Lydia looked at her reproachfully and then sighed, "I really feel distressed for Isaac. Today, your dad and I watched the news, and we know that he has no choice but to do that. Maxwell goes too far. Alas!"

Elizabeth listened to her silently and felt sorrowful in her heart. She nodded gently.

Lydia was about to say something, but John said, "Elizabeth, although I know you are also sad, you are not children anymore. I hope you and James can be more reasonable and sensible."

"Well, I know, dad." In fact, Elizabeth understood what John said, and she also knew that he said that for her own good. Although he mentioned her and James, she knew that he was mainly talking to her, "Mom, dad, I'm sorry to have let you worry about me. But please rest assured that I will definitely adjust myself and become cheerful as soon as possible."

Hearing that, John nodded with relief and said, "Okay."

Seeing this, Lydia sighed with relief, "Elizabeth, your father and I are relieved to hear your words. You don't have to stay with us. You haven't slept well these days. Go upstairs and have a rest."

"No, I'm not very tired."

As soon as she finished her words, Auntie Chang came out of the kitchen with a tray and said to Lydia, "Madam, the soup you asked me to cook is ready. Do you want to let Young Master come down and drink it now? Or should I bring it to him?"

Lydia nodded and said, "Send it to him. He needs to be nourished recently. Look at how thin he is. Alas!"

Auntie Chang agreed. As soon as she turned around, Lydia stopped her, "Auntie Chang, let Elizabeth bring the soup to him."

Elizabeth went upstairs with the soup. As soon as she entered the room, she saw James lying on the bed and talking on the phone. When he saw her come in, he glanced at her and then continued to give instructions.

It seemed to be something about work. She didn't speak, walked over quietly and put the soup on the bedside table.

As soon as she put down the soup, he finished his phone call. He smiled at her and said, "Why are you here? You don't want me to sleep alone?"

This seemed to be the first time he joked with her after Adele had died.

Hearing that, Elizabeth smiled, "No! Auntie Chang cooked the soup, and mom asked me to bring it to you." With that, she picked up the bowl and said, "It's not too hot now. Would you like to drink it now?"

"I have just finished the meal. How can I drink it?" Saying this, he took the bowl and put it back on the bedside table, "Put it there, and I'll drink it later."

"Okay." Elizabeth nodded and said, "Have a rest. I'll go down first, and I'll call you when the dinner is ready."

Just as she was about to turn around, he grabbed her wrist and said, "Together."
