"What's wrong with aunt?"
Josephine snorted coldly, "She suffers from alcoholism."
Elizabeth was shocked and didn't know what to say.
Josephine glanced at her and then quickly followed the nurse in front of her.
Elizabeth stood where she was, not knowing if she should follow them to take a look. Thinking of what they had done to her in the past, she thought that she should not do this. But she had lived with them for so many years, and that was a matter of the past.
Just as she was hesitating, Josephine, who was walking in front of her, suddenly stopped and turned around, saying, "Come over here."
Charlotte was sent
to have her stomach pumped because of
alcoholism.
Elizabeth and Josephine stood outside the door and both of them didn't say anything. The atmosphere was somewhat awkward.
Josephine stopped Elizabeth just because she said that she was in a hurry to go out and didn't bring any money with her, and she asked Elizabeth to help her pay the fee first.
Josephine seemed to be in a bad mood, leaning against the wall and smoking hard.
"Don't smoke too much." Elizabeth couldn't help but take the lead to speak, "Here is the hospital, and smoking is not good for your health."
"Humph!" Hearing this, Josephine sneered, "What? Do you think you're qualified to teach me a lesson just because you've helped me pay the fee?"
Elizabeth pursed her lips and said, "That's not what I mean."
"I don't care if that's what you mean. Anyway..." Josephine looked at Elizabeth with cold eyes, "I'm not going to return the money back to you."
Elizabeth was stunned for a moment, and then nodded lightly, "Okay."
"Oh! Now you're really different since you've got married to James!"
Elizabeth got a little unhappy, "Can you stop talking like that? What do you want me to say? Should I force you to return the money to me?" After that, she sighed, "I haven't seen you on TV recently... Anyway, she is my eldest aunt, and we used to live together for such a long time..."
Before she finished her words, Josephine said mockingly, "Don't make yourself look so innocent! Do you think I don't know what you're thinking? Now you must be very happy, right? Thanks to you and James, that son of b*tch, I can't act in TV dramas anymore! But how can't I afford to pay such a small sum of money? I happened to meet you today, so you deserve to pay for me!"
Elizabeth frowned, "Why do I deserve to pay for you? Your words are so strange! Perhaps you're in a bad mood because aunt is sick, but I have to say that it was not me who forced her to drink!1' She stared at Josephine, "What's more, don't scold James. I don't like it!"
"Yuck! You speak really confidently now!" Josephine threw the cigarette butt in her hand on the ground and crossed her arms, "What's wrong? Do you want to be with him longer so you speak for him? Or, do you really fall in love with him?"
Elizabeth narrowed her eyes and didn't say anything.
"What's more, don't say that what my mother's current state has nothing to do with you! Isn't it because of you that she drinks every day? My dad has been sent to prison by you. Do you know that he is in very bad health now? What could my mother do? What could she do except for drinking every day?"
Elizabeth took a deep breath and felt
that Josephine, who had a heavy makeup, was simply unreasonable, "I don't understand. After all these things, why do you still think that it's my fault? What did I do wrong? If you didn't do that, would you live a bad life now?"
