I Only Want You novel Chapter 487

James didn't put down his hands until they went upstairs and got to the bedroom.

Elizabeth's eyes had been covered for a long while. She suddenly opened her eyes and couldn't get used to the light in the room.

She raised her hand to rub her eyes and asked with a smile, "What on earth do you want to do?"

James pointed at the cloakroom and said, "How about going in and having a look?"

Listening to what he said, Elizabeth guessed that he might have prepared a surprise for her.

Although she didn't want him to do that, how could she not like such a surprise?

"What?"

"You'll know when you go in and have a look. Go ahead."

When Elizabeth went into the cloakroom, James took out a pink velvet box from his trouser pocket. Looking at the delicate bow on it, he raised his eyebrows.

Since the moment he bought the ring, he had been thinking about when he should wear it for her. He wanted to give it to her in a perfect moment.

Should he give it to her while having dinner or give it to her at this time? Or...

Alas... He was so hesitant!

Before he could figure it out, Elizabeth let out a cry of surprise.

"James!"

It seemed that... she was about to come out soon?

James's heart skipped a beat. Without thinking, he pulled open the drawer of the dresser in front of him, threw the pink box into it, and quickly closed the drawer.

As soon as he stood up straight, he saw Elizabeth standing at the door of the cloakroom and looking at him with surprise and joy, "Well..."

James rubbed his nose guiltily and then pretended to be calm. He raised his eyebrows and asked, "What's wrong?"

Elizabeth didn't say anything. She ran to him in a hurry, held his hand, and pulled him into the cloakroom. Then she pointed to the two pink boxes and asked, "Did you buy these for me?"

She had seen the things in the two boxes. There was a while dress in the bigger one, and there was a pair of pink high- heeled shoes inlaid with broken diamonds in the smaller one. They were simple but indescribably beautiful.

"No." James said seriously, and then touched his chin with suspicion, "Could it be sent by my Cinderella?"

Elizabeth burst into laughter and wrapped her arms around his waist, "Mmm, thank you, my Cinderella."

Hearing this, James was not angry. He just smiled and said, "You're welcome." After that, he reached out and rubbed her hair, "Then... how about putting it on?"

"Sure." "Okay, you can change your clothes, and I'll go out first." Ahem... He still had to make a preparation.

Elizabeth nodded. Just as James was about to turn around, she stopped him, "When you go downstairs, ask Jane to bring out the food ingredients you want to eat. I'll go down and cook later."

"Jane is not here today."

"What?"

"She asked for leave." Why should Jane stay here on such a day? "Change your clothes, and I'll wait for you downstairs." After that, he coughed lightly and added, "Put on the dress and shoes. Take your time. Don't hurry, okay?"

After James went out, Elizabeth was even in a good mood to get her hair down in order to better match the clothes and shoes that James gave her.

However, as soon as she undid the elastic band, she couldn't help but frown. Alas... there seemed to be the smell of the gunpowder on her hair because she watched a firework display last night.
