"Can you walk?" Xavier asked as he walked out of the door. Seeing that Elizabeth was not following him, he had to stop and waited for her.
If she didn't refuse him just now, he would have carried her down the stairs.
Elizabeth smiled with embarrassment, "Yeah. Where's your car?"
"It's in the front." He said as he took two steps back and reached out to hold her arm.
He was afraid that she couldn't keep up with him, so he didn't park his car in the underground parking lot. He just casually parked it in the parking space in front of the gate.
"Okay, let's go." Elizabeth broke away from his hand gently and walked out.
As soon as Elizabeth walked out of the gate, her eyes were dazzled by the bright light. She felt dizzy and her body shook, and she couldn't stand steadily.
Seeing this, Xavier's heart skipped a beat, and he rushed over to support her.
"Elizabeth?"
After feeling better, Elizabeth blinked her eyes a few times in a daze, "Hmm?"
"Are you all right?"
"Oh, I'm fine."
"But you almost fainted just now." Xavier was a little anxious, "Did you get seriously hurt just now? Let's go back and have a detailed check-up."
"No, I'm really all right." Elizabeth was afraid that he would go back on his word and makes things difficult for the Chaos, so she said in a hurry, "Maybe it is because I didn't eat breakfast. It's noon now, isn't it? I haven't eaten anything, so I feel dizzy due to low blood sugar."
She didn't eat breakfast and lunch. To be exact, she didn't have a good meal in the past two days, and she didn't even sleep well. In addition, she had been beaten and frightened many times that day. Even if she was strong and calm, she couldn't bear such torment, no to mention that she was just a weak woman.
Xavier frowned and looked at Elizabeth's ashy face with distress and worry. He knew that she was pretending to be happy with a forced smile. He felt that she was so pitiful and miserable.
Although he had only met her a few times, he knew that she was kind. The reason why she
said this was that she was really hungry, and she was afraid that he would make things difficult for the Chaos.
He really wanted to say that she was stupid, but he couldn't say a word when he opened his mouth. Wasn't it because of her kindness that he was able to start a new life and live until this time?
Finally, he sighed, "Don't you know that you should eat on time?"
"I had something to do, so I forgot it. Let's go.
"Okay, let's go to have a meal first." After saying that, Xavier bent down, carried Elizabeth in his arms, and then walked in the direction of his car.
"Hey!" Elizabeth exclaimed, "Let me go! I can walk by myself." There were so many people here. Moreover, she was the wife of his cousin, so it was really not suitable for him to do this...
"How can you walk in such a condition?" Xavier rejected her, "Don't worry. I'm just worried about you. You can't stand firmly and I'm afraid that you'll fall down."
Elizabeth bit her lip and felt panicked and flustered in heart. She struggled for a while, but Xavier didn't let her go, so she had to give up-
Xavier put her in the passenger seat and wore the seat belt for her. Then he turned around and quickly sat on the driver's seat.
He took out a lollipop from the storage box in the car and handed it to Elizabeth. "Since your blood sugar is low, eat this first." After that, he smiled, "I bought it yesterday, so it's not stale."
