Samuel Lee was deep in thought during the whole drive, but he couldn't understand why his boss was suddenly interested in building a library for A University out of the blue.
His boss's father, the chairman, has always been very invested in charity work. But Mr. Boss himself was only focused on making money, and left the charity and good deeds to his father.
So what was up with him this time?
"Welcome Mr. Lu, welcome!"
President Fang had been waiting at the campus gate with several high-ranking officials since early morning. When he saw James Lu get out of his car, he happily walked forward and tightly held James's hands as he gave him a hefty shake.
James frowned slightly when he was grasped by the President's somewhat sweaty palms. Then he said in a calm voice, "President Fang!"
There were more than ten people standing in front of James and Samuel. Looking at the crew, Samuel was secretly surprised that it is almost equal to that they make all the students come out to greet them in a line as well!
"Mr. Lu, I've gathered all of the important officials in our university to give you a warm welcome."
James glanced around and gave them an elegant nod as his greeting. President Fang didn't seem to mind, and he enthusiastically invited him to come in, "It is getting warmer by the day. How about we all go to my office first to enjoy some cool air, Mr. Lu?"
“Of course."

At President Fang's office.
James was sitting in the main seat where the president usually received his guests, unperturbed and assured. His legs were crossed in a graceful and reserved manner as he radiated a regal aura in the room.
President Fang sat down next to the main seat, but the sofa was limited in size, so there were inevitably some people left standing.
Even though the people who were standing and treating James with the utmost respect and humility were all James's seniors, he seemed to be completely unbothered and at ease.
James scanned the office and saw rows of photos of outstanding students on the big wall to his right. Their respective names and majors were written under the pictures.
He quickly glanced over each one and found Elizabeth Liang's photo in the first spot of the third-to-last row.
James squinted his eyes and smiled a little. Hmph, not bad! It looks like she wasn't embarrassing him!
The picture seemed to have been taken two years ago.
Elizabeth's hair was in two adorable braids in the photo, and she was wearing a simple white T-shirt with a pair of white overalls. Her arms were skinny and her legs were long and thin. She looked innocent, lovely, and incredibly youthful.
President Fang followed James's eyes towards the photo wall. He began saying with a smile, "These are all outstanding students and alumni of A University." As the president, he looked glowingly proud. He walked over and pointed to the first photo. "This student is now the mayor of B City!"
Then he pointed to the third photo on the second row. "This student is now a renowned lawyer in A City. He has never lost a single case."
James nodded a little.
"And this one..."
James patiently waited for President Fang to go on about several students before he raised his finger and pointed directly at Elizabeth's photo. "Who is this one?"
Samuel was stunned when he saw the photo. Wasn't that Ms. Liang?
