James took Xavier's phone and took the elevator all the way downstairs with depression.
What could he do? Elizabeth ordered him to come down, and he had no other choices. Although he felt that he couldn't see Xavier downstairs, he still had to come down. Otherwise, if Elizabeth said that she wanted to find a new husband again, he would go crazy.
Coming downstairs could make her happy, and he could exercise. How great it was!
Alright, he could only comfort himself like this.
As soon as he walked out of the building, a gust of wind blew over and made him shiver. He cursed in heart and then wrapped himself more tightly with his coat in silence.
James didn't think that he could meet Xavier, but he was afraid that Elizabeth would blame him if he went back so soon. He had to walk slowly in front of the building.
"Ugh!"
When he was about to walk to the gate, he heard a heartrending sound of retching.
Hearing this, James frowned and wanted to leave as soon as possible. He was obsessive about cleanliness, so how could he bear to hear such a sound? He only wished that he could fly far away as fast as he could.
He turned around and lifted his foot to take a step forward. However, he suddenly stopped, because he felt that the man's voice... sounded familiar.
He frowned. After thinking for a while, he walked toward the gate.
Maybe it was really someone he knew.
After walking a few steps, he really saw Xavier, who bent down slightly at the corner and retched with his hand against the wall.
He didn't leave!
But at this time, James didn't have so much time to think about why Xavier was still here and why he was retching.
He seemed to have only paused for two seconds before rushing forward, "Xavier!"
Xavier felt like he was about to die. When he heard James's voice, he tilted his head. Just as he was about to nod, he retched again.
"Ugh!"
"Xavier, what's wrong with you?" James couldn't care about whether it was dirty or not. He put one hand on Xavier's arm and asked with concern, "Are you not feeling well?"
When Xavier came out with him, he was fine and didn't look uncomfortable at all.
Why did he keep retching after coming out for a short time?
"Did you eat something bad?"
As soon as James said this, he added with a frown, "Wait here first. I'll call a doctor for you." He didn't dare to move Xavier easily, so he could only call a doctor. The doctor would come with a stretcher, and Xavier wouldn't have to walk and could receive a check-up.
Before he could take a step, Xavier grabbed his arm. Although he didn't have much strength, he stopped James successfully.
"There's no need... Jimmy."
"But you..."
Xavier shook his head gently, "I'm fine... I'm just... Ugh!"
James's eyes widened, "Are you fine? If you don't want to die, let me call the doctor!"
Xavier waited until he recovered from the pain he felt after retching. Then, he suppressed the unbearable nausea in heart and said weakly, "I'm really all right... I just touched something dirty..."
