James and the groomsmen walked in the front, followed by a motorcade.
When they arrived at Lu Mansion, James greeted Lydia and John and then hurried upstairs.
"Elizabeth! They are here!" Evelyn said excitedly. And then she quickly closed the door.
"Well." Elizabeth began to feel nervous and excited at the same time.
"Well, well, well! Let's see how generous your husband is." Evelyn leaned against the door and said to Elizabeth, "I won't open the door if he doesn't give me enough pocket money."
Elizabeth sat on the edge of the bed and couldn't help but laugh. "What if he doesn't give you at all?"
"Then he will need to attend the wedding ceremony alone later."
"Can you really watch it happen?"
Evelyn pouted and complained, "Elizabeth, look at you. You started to speak for him already. You've been unable to work for a year. HI give half of the pocket money to you.
Just go buy whatever you want. How good it is!" "He will give you enough pocket money." Elizabeth told the truth.
Hearing this, Evelyn couldn't help sighing, "You..."
The knocks on the door sounded.
James's voice then sounded after the gentle knocks on the door.
"Honey, I'm here to pick you up!"
Upon hearing that, Elizabeth's heart missed a beat. She looked at the door, and the smile on her face suddenly widened.
Evelyn waved and whispered, "Calm down!"
"..."
"Honey!"
"Elizabeth said that pocket money is a must if you want to enter the door," Evelyn said loudly.
Outside the door, James replied without thinking too much, "Open the door first and then I'll give it to you."
"No! Give it to me now. Who knows whether you'll do it when I open the door?"
"I'm a man of my words!"
Evelyn didn't listen, "Pass it through the crack of the door." After that, she added, "The amount must be good enough. Otherwise, I won't open the door."
Outside the door, Isaac looked at James in amusement. "Jimmy, have you brought enough money? The bridesmaid is not so easily convinced. If you don't have enough money with you, I'm afraid you won't be able to go in today."
Xavier also looked at James grinning and suddenly wanted to joke, "Jimmy, if you don't, I have some cash here. Would you like to borrow?" Then he added, "But the interest will be high. Think twice."
Benjamin just stood aside and said nothing. He stared at the door pouting.
James snorted, "Don't worry. I'm well prepared." Then he took out a large stack of red envelopes from his pocket. "Look. It's more than you imagine." Well, with years of experiences in business, James surely had such sense.
Evelyn waited for a while and didn't see the pocket money coming in. She then said, "James, are you withdrawing the money now? Hurry up!"
"Here it is! Take it!" James shouted and then began to pass the red envelopes.
However, the red envelopes were too thick to pass the crack of the door.
"How about you open the door? The red envelopes are too thick."
"Well." Evelyn didn't expect it to happen.
What should she do as she couldn't get the money with the door closed?
She couldn't really let James come in so easily, could she?
She looked around and then shouted at the door, "Then throw it in through the window!" "From the window?"
James thought for a second and couldn't help but clench his fists.
His bedroom was on the second floor, and there were no trees outside the balcony. Did he have to do wire work?
Evelyn was really naughty with bad ideas.
